As the name suggests, the Centenario LP 770-4 is powered by a 760-horsepower (770 PS) version of the same mid-mounted 6.5-liter V-12 that first appeared in the Aventador. Lamborghini is one of the few holdouts that still uses atmospheric engines across its entire lineup, and that won’t change with the Centenario. The V-12 will produce all 760 horsepower without the help of turbos or electric motor

s. Power will be sent to the wheels through a fourth-generation Haldex all-wheel-drive system and Lamborghini’s single-clutch, seven-speed transmission. Brakes will be carbon-ceramic at all four corners, and the inboard push-rod suspension system will use adaptive magneto-rheological dampers. Expect 0-60 mph to come in about 2.8 seconds, 0-186 mph in 23.5 seconds, and look for a top speed similar to other production Lambos at 217 mph. Because the car itself hasn’t even been made official, there’s no clue on pricing, but it should be more reasonably priced than the $4.5 million Veneno Roadster. Reports indicate that 20 Centenarios will be made (though more open-top variants could follow), each costing a little over $1 million. Word has it that 20 coupes and 20 roadsters will be built
