The mosque in Kazibari, Vatara, Dhaka is a true testament to the unity and generosity of the local community. The land was donated by Sultanuddin Bahar and his family, who wanted to create a space where people could come together and worship in peace.

However, designing the mosque was no easy feat. The site was an irregular shape, and a graveyard adjacent to the south. To make matters worse, there were height restrictions due to an electrical line running overhead.
Despite these challenges, the Atelier Architects tried to create a stunning mosque that combines traditional Islamic architecture with modern design elements. One of the main focuses of the design was to maximize natural light and cross ventilation.

Throughout the design process, the architects suggest local materials that truly fits in with the surrounding community. The mosque minar stands tall at 80 feet, but still manages to blend seamlessly into its surroundings. It is a beautiful testament to the generosity and unity of the people of Kazibari.
