san has 25 years experience in the lift business, he has worked with agents of Schindler Germany, Mitsubishi and Fujitec Japan lifts in Bangladesh and abroad. He has been involved in the installation, commissioning and after sales service and maintenance of all these brands of lifts. He has personally installed and commissioned more than 150 lifts by himself over the years. He had undergone intensive training in lifts and escalators in Schindler. His last work experience was in the Chief Erector position for a local lift company. The Managing Director of Eltech, Engr. Kamal Hassan, has over ten years experience in the lift industry in Thailand and Bangladesh. He has been involved in the installation, commissioning and after sales service and maintenance of Thyssen Germany, Thyman Thailand, Harden Thailand lifts. He has personally overseen all operation of lift installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, Modernization and project management as well as worked in senior managerial positions in different companies. He had comprehensive training in Thai lift factory on both lift and escalator. His latest employment before entering into business was in the Chief engineer position for a local lift company. The third entrepreneur, Mr. Usman Shamsul Hoque, Director, is a professional in selling, marketing and commercial operations of lifts. He has about eight years experience with a local lift company where he oversaw imports of lifts and managed the total operations. He also successfully sold more than 50 lifts. ELTECH is committed to run all its operations absolutely professionally by ensuring prompt and proper services to its clients, be it for a new supply and installation or for maintenance of lifts or modernization of old lifts. To its credit owing to clients’ confidence on its ability to maintain lifts of different makes and origins, the company as of June 2002 is providing maintenance services of 46 lifts of different makes and origins. Since, the lift maintenance business warrants skilled manpower as well as prompt and timely human intervention whenever there is a lift call, ELTECH, from its very inception has set up its maintenance division accordingly. It has recruited skilled Engineers and Technicians with adequate experience and exposure in the field level to look after the preventive maintenance and call attending. ELTECH keeps adequate stock of spares to minimize lift downtime. Presently, for a traction lift, frequency of preventive maintenance is once every month, which has become a norm worldwide.
