দ্য গ্লোবের দৈর্ঘ্য ৪০০ মিটারেরও বেশি। আরও খোলাসা করে বলতে গেলে আটটি অলিম্পিক সাইজ সুইমিং পুলের সমান এই জাহাজ। প্রস্থে ৫৬ দশমিক ৮ মিটার এবং এর উচ্চতা ৭৩ মিটার। আর এই জাহাজের ধারণক্ষমতা প্রায় এক লাখ ৮৬ হাজার টন, কিংবা বলা ভালো ১৪ হাজার ৫০০ লন্ডন বাসের ওজনের সমান।

আর দক্ষিণ কোরিয়ায় নির্মিত এই বিশাল জাহাজটির মালিকানা চীন শিপিং কনটেইনার লাইনস নামের একটি প্রতিষ্ঠানের। ২০ ফুট উচ্চতার মোট ১৯ হাজার ১০০টি কনটেইনার সহজেই বহন করতে পারে জাহাজটি। পাশাপাশি এই কনটেইনারগুলো সাজালে মোট ৭২ মাইল দৈর্ঘ্য হবে, যা মোটামুটি ফেলিক্সটোভ থেকে লন্ডনের দূরত্ব।

ঋণ জালিয়াতির অভিযোগে জাহাজ নির্মাণ ও রপ্তানিকারক প্রতিষ্ঠান আনন্দ শিপইয়ার্ডের চেয়ারম্যান ড. আবদুল্লাহেল বারী ও ব্যবস্থাপনা পরিচালককে তলব করেছে দুর্নীতি দমন কমিশন- দুদক।
মঙ্গলবার দুদক তাদের তলব করে নোটিশ পাঠায়। নোটিশে ১৭ সেপ্টেম্বর সকাল ১০টায় দুদকের প্রধান কার্যালয়ে তাদের হাজির হতে বলা হয়েছে।
