২০১৮ সাল।

নবনির্মিত ফরিদপুর সদর উপজেলা নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তার (UNO) অফিসের ইন্টেরিয়র ডিজাইনের দায়িত্ব পেলাম। এটি ছিল একটি সরকারি প্রকল্প। বাজেট, ম্যাটেরিয়াল ও বাস্তবায়ন—সবকিছুতেই ছিল স্বাভাবিক কিছু সীমাবদ্ধতা।

ডিজাইন নিয়ে ভাবতে গিয়েই একটি প্রশ্ন মাথায় এলো—একজন উপজেলা নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা প্রতিদিন যে চেয়ারে বসবেন, সেই স্থানটি কি শুধু একটি অফিস হতে পারে? নাকি এটি হতে পারে একটি নীরব স্মারক, যা প্রতিদিন তাঁকে তাঁর দায়িত্বের কথা মনে করিয়ে দেবে?

সেই ভাবনা থেকেই তাঁর ঠিক সামনের দেয়ালে বড় করে লিখেছিলাম—

“WE SERVE PEOPLE.”

শুধু লেখা নয়, এটিকে একটি বুকশেলফের অংশ করে দিয়েছিলাম। কারণ আমার বিশ্বাস, পবিত্র জায়গায় পবিত্র চিন্তারই স্থান হওয়া উচিত।

আজ আট বছর পেরিয়ে গেছে। জানি না, এই সময়ে কতজন ইউএনও সেই চেয়ারে বসেছেন, কিংবা এই কথাগুলো তাঁদের এক মুহূর্তের জন্যও ভাবিয়েছে কি না।

তবে যদি একজন মানুষও এই লেখাটির দিকে তাকিয়ে নিজেকে মনে করিয়ে দিয়ে থাকেন—"আমি মানুষের সেবার জন্য এখানে"—তাহলেই আমার কাছে এই প্রকল্প সফল।

দাড়িয়া পাড়া , সিলেটের এই ছোট্ট অ্যাপার্টমেন্ট রেনোভেশন প্রজেক্টের শুরুতে ক্লায়েন্টের সবচেয়ে বড় চিন্তা ছিল— সীমিত জায়গার মধ্যে সবকিছু ঠিকভাবে করা সম্ভব হবে তো?

লিভিং, ডাইনিং, বেডরুম, কিচেন, এমনকি একটি ছোট্ট ঠাকুর ঘর— সবকিছুই এই একই পরিসরের মধ্যে জায়গা করে নিতে হয়েছে। তাই এই প্রজেক্টে সবচেয়ে বেশি গুরুত্ব দেওয়া হয়েছে space planning-এর ওপর, যেন কোনো কিছুই অপ্রয়োজনীয় না লাগে এবং প্রতিটি কোণ ব্যবহারযোগ্য থাকে।

কাজ শেষ হওয়ার পর সবচেয়ে ভালো লেগেছে ক্লায়েন্টের প্রতিক্রিয়া। কারণ শুরুতে যে জায়গাটাকে নিয়ে এত দ্বিধা ছিল, শেষ পর্যন্ত সেই ছোট্ট বাসাটিই হয়ে উঠেছে আরামদায়ক, পরিপাটি এবং নিজের মতো করে সুন্দর একটি ঠিকানা।

সবসময় বড় জায়গাই সুন্দর হয় না। অনেক সময় ছোট্ট একটি স্পেসও সঠিক পরিকল্পনায় অনেক বেশি পরিপূর্ণ হয়ে উঠতে পারে।

OLI VILA
A 7-Storied Residential Apartment Building

Designed as a multifamily rental apartment in the dense urban fabric of Sylhet, "Oli Vila" responds to the local climate through openness, natural ventilation, and durable material expression.

The building is carefully planned to remain open on all sides, maximizing daylight pe*******on and ensuring effective cross-ventilation throughout the apartments. To reduce long-term maintenance while enhancing thermal comfort, exposed brick has been used extensively on the exterior facade. The brick envelope not only provides a timeless architectural character but also helps keep the building naturally cooler in Sylhet’s tropical climate.

Special attention was given to masonry detailing and craftsmanship, transforming a conventional apartment building into a structure where material, climate, and functionality work together seamlessly.

Another Milestone, Another Happy Client.

Every project begins with a vision, evolves through challenges, and reaches its true success when it becomes a place someone proudly calls home. Today, we are delighted to hand over the design proposal of a thoughtfully planned 5-storied residential building to our valued client, Mr. Joydeb Kormokar.
The project features a spacious duplex residence for the owner, complemented by six rental apartments distributed across three floors, creating a harmonious balance between personal living and investment opportunity.

ইট, আলো, বাতাস এবং একটি স্বপ্নের গল্প

নির্মাণিক আর্কিটেক্টসে আমরা বিশ্বাস করি, একটি বাড়ি শুধু দেয়াল, জানালা কিংবা কক্ষের সমষ্টি নয়; এটি মানুষের জীবনযাপনের একটি পরিসর, যেখানে প্রতিদিনের অভিজ্ঞতা, স্মৃতি এবং অনুভূতি ধীরে ধীরে গড়ে ওঠে। তাই প্রতিটি প্রকল্পে আমাদের চেষ্টা থাকে এমন একটি পরিবেশ তৈরি করার, যা ব্যবহারকারীর জীবনকে আরও স্বস্তিদায়ক, অর্থবহ এবং প্রকৃতির কাছাকাছি নিয়ে যায়।

এই আবাসিক ভবনটির পরিকল্পনার শুরু থেকেই আমাদের প্রধান ভাবনা ছিল পর্যাপ্ত প্রাকৃতিক আলো, বাতাস এবং একটি কার্যকর স্থানিক বিন্যাস নিশ্চিত করা। চারপাশে ঘন নির্মাণ থাকা সত্ত্বেও ভবনের কেন্দ্রে একটি উন্মুক্ত অংশ এবং তিন পাশজুড়ে খোলা চলাচলপথ রাখার মাধ্যমে পুরো বাড়িতে স্বাভাবিকভাবে আলো ও বাতাস প্রবাহের সুযোগ সৃষ্টি করা হয়েছে। আমাদের বিশ্বাস, সুস্থ ও আরামদায়ক আবাসন গড়ে তুলতে এই মৌলিক বিষয়গুলোর কোনো বিকল্প নেই।

ভবনের সম্মুখভাগে ব্যবহৃত জালি ইট এই প্রকল্পের অন্যতম গুরুত্বপূর্ণ উপাদান। এটি শুধু একটি নান্দনিক সিদ্ধান্ত নয়; বরং গোপনীয়তা, বাতাস চলাচল এবং আলো নিয়ন্ত্রণের একটি কার্যকর মাধ্যম। দিনের বিভিন্ন সময়ে সূর্যের আলো জালির ফাঁক গলে ভেতরে প্রবেশ করে এবং পরিবর্তনশীল আলো-ছায়ার যে পরিবেশ তৈরি করে, সেটি এই বাড়ির দৈনন্দিন অভিজ্ঞতার অংশ হয়ে ওঠে।

উপকরণ নির্বাচনের ক্ষেত্রেও আমরা সরলতা এবং স্থায়িত্বকে গুরুত্ব দিয়েছি। উন্মুক্ত ইট, মাটির আবহময় রং এবং সাদা ফ্রেমের সমন্বয়ের মাধ্যমে সমকালীন স্থাপত্যের ভাষার সঙ্গে আমাদের পরিচিত নির্মাণ ঐতিহ্যের একটি সংযোগ স্থাপনের চেষ্টা করা হয়েছে। আমরা মনে করি, একটি ভবন তার সময়ের প্রতিনিধিত্ব করবে, তবে একই সঙ্গে তার স্থান, জলবায়ু এবং সংস্কৃতির সঙ্গেও সম্পর্ক বজায় রাখবে।

তবে এই প্রকল্পের সবচেয়ে মূল্যবান দিক হয়তো এর স্থাপত্যিক বৈশিষ্ট্যের বাইরেই।

এই বাড়ির পেছনে রয়েছে একজন মানুষের বহু বছরের পরিশ্রম, ধৈর্য এবং স্বপ্ন। দীর্ঘ সময় ধরে ধাপে ধাপে তিনি এই বাড়ির জন্য প্রস্তুতি নিয়েছেন। পুরো নকশা ও নির্মাণ প্রক্রিয়াজুড়ে তাঁর আগ্রহ, অংশগ্রহণ এবং আন্তরিকতা আমাদের কাজকে আরও অর্থবহ করেছে। আমরা সবসময় বিশ্বাস করি, ভালো স্থাপত্য তখনই সম্ভব হয় যখন ক্লায়েন্ট এবং স্থপতি একই স্বপ্নের দিকে একসঙ্গে এগিয়ে যান। এই প্রকল্প সেই বিশ্বাসেরই একটি সুন্দর উদাহরণ।

শেষ পর্যন্ত এটি শুধু একটি আবাসিক ভবন নয়। এখানে প্রতিটি ইট, প্রতিটি ছায়া এবং প্রতিটি বাতাসের প্রবাহের সঙ্গে জড়িয়ে আছে একটি স্বপ্ন বাস্তব হওয়ার গল্প।

As the excitement of the upcoming World Cup begins to build, AR Entertainment has taken a significant step forward in creating a destination for sports enthusiasts. More than just a retail outlet, this space brings together quality sporting goods, thoughtful design, and a vibrant community atmosphere.

Completed in 2025, this 250 sq.ft. Sports Shop & Office was designed and executed by Nirmanik Architects to reflect the energy and passion that sports inspire. The store offers a wide range of jerseys, cricket bats, footballs, badminton equipment, sportswear, and accessories, carefully displayed within a compact yet highly functional layout.

Beyond retail, the space has evolved into a gathering point where players, sports lovers, and local enthusiasts come together to share stories, discuss matches, and celebrate their love for the game. The interior was thoughtfully planned to create a welcoming environment that supports both customer engagement and day-to-day business operations.

This project demonstrates how a small footprint can be transformed into a strong brand experience—where sports, community, and design come together under one roof.
