The renovation of the Paul-Henri Spaak Building, the house of the European Parliament.
The KLARC consortium – KAAN Architecten, LOW Architecten, Arcadis Belgium, together with partners Werner Sobek, SuReal, DELVA, and Arcadis France, has been awarded the contract to renovate this landmark in Brussels’ Quartier Léopold.
As the home of the European Parliament’s main Chamber, committee rooms, press facilities, and public spaces, the Spaak Building stands as a powerful symbol of European democracy. Its 84,000 square metres will be modernised to become more sustainable, resilient, and functional for many years to come, without compromising its heritage.
This transformation will ensure the Spaak Building remains a vital platform for dialogue, transparency and democratic life, supporting the work of the European Parliament on behalf of 445 million citizens.
