Every year, the Van Ranst Prize seeks out hand-drawn drawings that visually challenge, question, or express a process, an idea, or a spatial proposal.โฃโฃ

Architect Jef Van Ranst had a dream: to get young talents drawing again. Drawing, done by hand, as an expression of a thought, action, or design process rather than drawing as an artistic artifact.โฃโฃ

The Jef Van Ranst Prize, is exclusively for students from all Flemish architecture education institutions. โฃโฃ
โฃโฃ
The Prize is awarded to one bachelorโs and one masterโs student from one of the participating institutions. Each institution submits works by two bachelorโs and two masterโs students for selection. โฃ
A professional jury will select the winners from the submissions within the lines of freehand design sketches, process drawings, and drawings as a means of communication.โฃโฃ
