A fantastic day at the IRI Hydrocarbon Refrigeration Workshops in the Clayton Hotel, Dublin, with full attendance across both morning and afternoon sessions.

A sincere thank you to our expert speakers, Stig Rath and Harald Erös, for sharing their extensive knowledge and practical insights on the safe application of hydrocarbon refrigerants and best practices for R290 systems.

We would also like to thank all delegates for their engagement and participation, which contributed to the success of the event. The strong turnout reflects the growing interest in natural refrigerants and the industry's commitment to safe and sustainable refrigeration solutions.

🎉We’re delighted to announce a new Board for AREA, elected in Madrid!

At our General Assembly on 22 May, members elected a new Board, a moment of both continuity and renewal.

We are delighted to welcome Stepan Stojanov as our new President, and we sincerely thank Coen Van de Sande who steps down after two mandates, but will continue to serve on the Board.

Following his election, Stepan highlighted the following priorities for AREA:
🔹Supporting contractors in the evolving regulatory landscape
🔹Training for alternative refrigerants
🔹Ensuring compliance with safety standards in HVAC installation
🔹Safeguarding our market from illegal practices
🔹Advancing digitalisation and cybersecurity
