Last week, the third edition of MUS-E salon took place, closing off the salons for this season. Guests could wander around the space and talk directly to the artists who displayed their work. Themed tropically, refreshing granitas with exciting salty & savoury toppings were served by and . With pink summer soup by in hand, .e ’s performance introduced a moment of slowing down, standing still and listening carefully. Join us after the summer break for a next season of MUS-E salon!

In WZC De Pottelberg in Kortrijk, has concluded her contribution to the Woon.Zorg.Kunst project as a mini-expo.

Students and residents of the residential care center explored what care means in today’s world and how small gestures of attention can become more visible.

Through visual arts, the children created sculptures, symbolic objects, poetic gifts that function as tangible carriers of care. These artistic gifts were exchanged during encounters with residents. The ritual of intergenerational gift-giving and receiving thus becomes part of the artwork itself: a moment of slowing down, closeness, mutual attention for one another.

250 young bilingual voices from Ixelles’ schools, united in GC ‘s stunning stairwell!

From sculpture and sound to visual art and performance, this exhibition shows how children from see and experience their community. The works are the result of artistic trajectories led by , , Asher Lev, , Stephy Maes, Mona Marchetti and across several Ixelles schools, including Jardins d’Élise, Cœur d’Ixelles, and École en Mouvement.

Spread across the different floors of GC Elzenhof, the works interact beautifully with the building’s impressive architecture. Go and experience this striking exhibition for yourself, on view until 27 August.

Photographer embarked on a journey to discover edible plants with 11th-grade students from the in Evere. Alongside herbalists Henri Pluss and Virginie Volckaert (plantes_a_gogo_herbo), and with the support of , the students explored their own intangible heritage and developed contemporary artistic practices, connecting present-day knowledge and practices with those of the past. The project ‘Past is Now’ is supported by PECA and the Intangible Cultural Heritage Service of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.

For the Sing My Song project, MUS-E Belgium welcomed artists and teachers from Spain and Portugal to for two lively days filled with creative ateliers, live music, an instrument-making masterclass by Jeroen Smets, a biodiversity workshop at , and much more.

𝐼 𝓌𝒾𝓈𝒽 𝐼 𝓌𝑒𝓇𝑒 𝒶𝓃 𝒶𝓇𝓉𝒾𝓈𝓉 - guided children through the stars during Easter art-week at . Together they made stop-motion films of their journey into space on their personalized rockets. At MUS-E easter art-week at , artists and focused on the sense of looking; at yourself, at each other, at the world around us. Scanning hair, drawing eyes, taking polaroids, zooming in with microscopes, working with found materials. Fragments turning into images, textures into ideas.

They visited and the exhibition by Marie Zolamian, then responded to what they saw through drawing and clay reliefs. Going further than just looking. Taking notice, translating impressions into inspiration of their own.

On April 1st, Cultureghem celebrated their annual C’EST PARTI party. A warm, lively day full of activities for Anderlecht’s kids. MUS-E hosted two ateliers, including a hands-on session with Willemien Meijer where kids experimented with tools, hammering and building with recycled wood. They were free to create whatever they imagined, resulting in creative figures and playful constructions. Meanwhile, let children pose with a colorful and impressive mermaid’s tail she made during the KETMET ateliers.

We wrapped up last week with the second edition of MUS-E Salon, where we invite our artists to share works of their own practice within our community. This time we showed pieces by nine of our artists, each one interacting in its own way with the modernist space. Friends and family gathered, lingered, and connected over warm bread and homemade Lebanese spreads.

Spring is in the air! Yesterday at , led ateliers in the beautiful sunlit conservatory. Inspired by sprouting plants, they sculpted with clay and dug their hands deep into the soil to plant their seedlings. They created their own small conservatories, brewing with life. Rasa closed the atelier with a calming mint ritual, reconnecting the children to the natural world.
