The word is out.
Over the past year, we have worked with great enthusiasm and curiosity alongside DUSS and the Flemish Government on one of Brussels’ iconic landmarks: The American Pavillon of Expo 58 in the Park of Laeken. Originally conceived as a temporary structure for Expo 58, it emerged from an era marked by optimism and innovation. Although the refined steel superstructure was dismantled shortly after the Expo, the circular theatre and its monumental concrete donut-shaped structure - with a diameter of 105 metres - are still standing 68 years later.
We developed the spatial scenarios for the site while also contributing to a new narrative for an experimental arts laboratory that goes far beyond being just another concert venue. As an innovative workspace for image and sound, it will evolve in the coming years into a place dedicated to experimentation, rehearsal, and the development of new ideas - an environment where visual arts and music continuously influence and inspire one another. A place where people meet and collaborate, and where this cross-pollination can generate unexpected forms, insights, and creations.
