NHV is an international helicopter transport services company, specialised in B-to-B aviation service NHV’s main focus is on the oil and gas industry.

The NHV group, based in Ostend Belgium, is specialized in B-to-B helicopter services and has a strong geographic presence in Europe and Western Africa. The group conducts operations out of several bases on the two continents with a team of over 550 employees. The group has a leading position in Europe as the only helicopter operator that conducts operations in every oil producing country in the re

gion. The scope of work also includes: Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS), Maritime Services, which include Search and Rescue (SAR), offshore Wind Farms and Harbor Pilot Services. Vertech Offshore and Airlift are two specialized companies within the NHV group who are leaders in their niche of flare tip replacement and power grid construction and maintenance. Aside from the helicopter operations, NHV is an approved training organization (ATO) and an official service center for our partner Airbus Helicopters. The group has a multipurpose high value fleet of 65 helicopters. Since 2012, NHV has ordered 16 helicopters of the state-of-the-art Airbus Helicopters H175 model and is the global launching customer to fly the H175. NHV’s majority shareholder is Ardian, the independent private investment company with assets of US$60bn managed or advised in Europe, North America and Asia.

Today marks an exciting milestone as we successfully completed our first operational flights with the H160 in Den Helder for our customer Tenaz.

This achievement reflects the dedication, professionalism, and teamwork of everyone involved in bringing this new capability into service. The H160 represents a new generation of rotorcraft technology, combining enhanced safety, performance, and passenger comfort, and we are proud to see it now supporting offshore operations in the North Sea.

A big thank you to our crews, engineers, support teams, and our customer Tenaz for their trust and collaboration throughout this journey.

We look forward to many more successful operations with the H160 and to continuing to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient services to our customers.

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Frederik Deley as Technical Director of NHV!

Frederik’s promotion reflects his extensive industry expertise, strong leadership, and long-standing dedication to NHV.

After starting his career in the fixed-wing aviation sector, Frederik joined NHV in 2009 in a Quality & Safety Management role. Over the years, he has held several key positions across the organization, spanning Safety, Maintenance, Technical Services, and, most recently, Group Fleet Management since 2017.

With more than 17 years of experience at NHV and a deep understanding of our operations, Frederik brings a unique combination of technical knowledge, operational insight, and strategic vision to this new role. His broad experience across multiple disciplines makes him exceptionally well-positioned to lead our technical organization into the future.

Yesterday, on June 9th, the 160th day of the year, we celebrated the launch of our two new H160 aircraft at our base in Den Helder together with our clients and partners.
It was a fantastic day filled with demo flights, inspiring speeches, great food and drinks, and the opportunity to connect with everyone who joined us for this special milestone.

We would like to thank all our guests, partners, and team members who helped make the event such a success. We are excited for this next chapter and proud to welcome the H160s to our fleet! 🚁

A rare moment for our UK fleet!

We recently had all three aircraft types (AW139, AW169, H175) in our UK fleet together in the same place at the same time in Blackpool, an extremely rare occurrence and a fantastic photo opportunity.

The H175 joined operations to support critical additional demand from one of our customers, showcasing the flexibility and collaboration across our UK bases. A huge thank you to our Aberdeen team for releasing the aircraft and helping us continue to deliver the high level of service our customers rely on every day.

A great example of teamwork, operational excellence, and our commitment to supporting our customers when it matters most.
