Let’s take a quick look into the future — all the way to 2028.

The defining colour of the coming years has already been predicted by WGSN and Coloro: Radiant Earth, a rich, warm terracotta shade, combines nostalgic comfort with a sense of stability and connection to nature. This confident neutral works effortlessly across architectural and interior design schemes of myriad styles.

Architects and interior designers are already incorporating it into their future projects.

At Metrotile, we already offer roofing profiles in tones that capture the essence of this trend — the same warmth, the same character, the same connection to the natural world. While Radiant Earth is only beginning to gain momentum, your project can start speaking the language of 2028 today.

📩 Don’t wait for 2028. Get in touch with our team to find the perfect roofing solution for your project.

Imagine Marilyn Monroe without her signature beauty mark. Or your loved one without that cute dimple. 🤗

It is these small “special touches” that create character. The things that make an image feel alive, unique, and memorable. The same principle applies in architecture. An unconventional façade, complex roof geometry, sharp angles that you do not want to “correct” — these are the details that shape a home's character. This is especially clear in complex architectural elements, such as bull’s eye windows, like the one shown in the photo.

Metrotile roofing solutions are designed specifically for such challenges. The corrosion-resistant, storm-resistant, yet flexible steel core of the tiles allows complex roof geometries to be reproduced with precision — without simplifying or compromising form: https://www.metrotile.eu

Psychologists claim that it takes less than 7 seconds for a person to form a first impression.

And when it comes to a home, nobody spends those seconds analysing technical specifications, wall thickness, or floor area. The very first thing people notice is shape and colour. And the roof forms the first impression of a home before the door even opens.

At Metrotile, we understand the power of first impressions. That is why we created 16 roof profiles and more than 25 colours and unique shade blends. Our wide range means that every home enjoys not just a roof but its own character — from graphite tones to create a sense of stability and blue to evoke calmness to warm terracotta shades that create a feeling of comfort. This is exactly why our colours complement both classical architecture and modern minimalist designs.

When it comes to a home, the first seconds speak louder than anything else. At Metrotile, we make an exceptional impression.

How can one detail make even the most expensive roof look cheaper?

All it takes is a single moment of visual dissonance — like a white satellite dish mounted on a red roof.

The brain notices this accent instantly and stops seeing everything else: the quality roofing, the flawless roofline, the overall harmony of the house. Painting satellite dishes to match the colour of the roof camouflages them, creating a seamless look.

Durability is not proven by promises but by everyday performance. Roofing works the same way. That is why we suggest comparing how traditional roof tiles (ceramic or concrete) and stone-coated metal roofing actually perform in practice.

Ceramic roof tiles:
✅ Natural material with centuries of history
✅ Resistant to UV exposure and fire
❌ Heavy weight — requires a reinforced roof structure
❌ Vulnerable to mechanical loads (hail, point pressure)
❌ Long service life of several decades, but highly dependent on operating conditions and maintenance

Stone-coated metal roofing (Metrotile):
✅ Multi-layered metal base with protective coating
✅ Resistant to UV exposure, moisture, and fire
✅ Lightweight — 7 times lighter than traditional roof tiles, reducing structural load and simplifying installation
✅ High resistance to impacts and weather loads (hail, wind)
✅ Manufacturer warranty — from 40 years. Proven worldwide performance for more than 65 years

True friendship, just like a quality roof, is proven through real performance over time. Metrotile is the roof you can trust for the long term: https://www.metrotile.eu/

In roofing, colour is not just an aesthetic choice; it’s a performance decision.

But in the context of roofing solutions, this assumption is not so straightforward. In contemporary architecture, dark roof colours are increasingly viewed as a functional element of climate control and building energy efficiency during colder periods of the year.

Black and dark finishes, including the Metrotile Bond Charcoal profile, absorb solar radiation more effectively, contributing to additional heat retention within the roofing system. This helps reduce heat loss and improve the overall level of thermal comfort inside the building, even at low temperatures.

🏛️ Every era has its own style, but true classical form never grows old.

Victorians were fascinated with details that could be admired for hours. Modernists preferred clean lines and function above all else. Contemporary architecture strives for simplicity but with character.

And then there are forms that remain relevant forever. The roof of the house shown in the photo, which was finished with the Metrotile Qube profile, demonstrates this perfectly in practice. Strict rectangular shapes create rhythm, and the deep black colour adds visual weight, while the proportions and clean lines make the roof feel complete and refined.

Even if architectural trends change decades from now, your roof will still look modern. As true form is not subject to time, and this timelessness is supported by a 40-year warranty.

Metrotile Qube for those who choose clean, strong geometry that remains relevant across eras.

Do you have biases?

Probably. Everyone does. Even those who create flawless buildings. One bias is so familiar that it is treated as a rule: the roof should end where the façade begins.

The Shingle roofing profile of Metrotile makes it possible to innovate without any technical compromises. The concealed fixing system allows the tiles to be used both on the roof and on the façade without unnecessary joints, creating one continuous surface.

With such a solution, not only does the building’s appearance change, but its perception also changes. It becomes more unified and significantly more expressive in its silhouette.

Metrotile Shingle helps you think holistically and design without limitations:

More than 60% of European residential buildings built before the 1970s had to have traditional pitched roofs with a slope of at least 45° because of thatched roofs or traditional tiles. The shape of the house was dictated by the material.

Today, the Metrotile lightweight steel roofing system turns these rules on their head. Most of our tile profiles can be installed at any pitch from 10° to 90°, opening the door to any design: minimalist slopes, vertical façades, classic pitches — one system covers them all.

With Metrotile, the only limitation is your imagination: https://www.metrotile.eu/
