This guitar have its neck broken due a drop in the past. It was properly fixed with a new wood insertion on the headstock joint. Now it have a second drop. The neck have a good response with only some varnish cracks (aparently) and due this reason it not be restore to us ( me and his owner ) observes how it will response along the time. Another issue was a side crack, that was reglued and restored.

This guitar has its top broken and fixed with an unusual approach. Another top layer was add over the old one. The domestic epoxy glue used in not appropriate for this use and don't make a solid cristalyzed film. As time passed the surfaces starts to slide one from another this causing a huge top deflection. Other point is that internal top suports was replaced too giving a weak top structure.

To avoid a top complete rework, we decide use another approach to attach the string. Something like a jazz stopbar, and for shure, replace the old bridge. This way, the string tension for itselvs helps to keep the top on place letting a confortable string action for this guitar.

It is not a purist way to fix it. But a non expensive and avoiding not necessary work on a simple instrument.
