Island Site Development Announces Approval of Scholarship Program to Support Future Science Leaders in The Bahamas
Nassau, The Bahamas – October 21, 2026 – Island Site Development (ISD) is pleased to announce the approval of its Island Site Development Scholarship Program, an initiative designed to support academic excellence, expand educational opportunities, and help develop the next generation of skilled professionals in The Bahamas.
The announcement follows a meeting between representatives of Island Site Development and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Science and Technology, the Honourable Chester Cooper, the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry, Mr. Keenan Johnson and President of The Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute Mrs. Keyshan Bastian. Representing ISD were Mr. James Mosko, President, and Mrs. Jacklyn Frazer-Butler, Human Resources Manager.
The scholarship initiative will provide two scholarships valued at $40,000 each, for a total investment of $80,000, to outstanding graduating students from the Bahamian public school system who intend to pursue studies in a science-related field at the tertiary level. Each scholarship will support the recipient over a four-year period.
This initiative reflects ISD’s commitment to investing in education, empowering young Bahamians, and contributing to the long-term development of the nation’s workforce. By supporting students pursuing science-related disciplines, the company aims to help strengthen the pool of qualified professionals and create opportunities for young Bahamians to contribute to the country’s continued growth and development.
