The contrasting elements draw attention to the kitchen’s focal points, while upgraded handles add a finishing detail that ties the design together. The result is a kitchen with renewed character, thoughtful colour placement, and a more contemporary feel.

Transformation Highlights:

Great review from Heisenberg... "We are pleased with the care and attention the crews demonstrated. There were three steps (remove doors, prep and paint frames, rehang finished doors and install handles). Crews not hurried and were careful, striving to do a quality job. They maintained the schedule they stated from the beginning, with no delays or excuses.
Color and finish of the doors matched our exact expectations.
We would recommend them without hesitation.
I'm saying 5 stars, an honest five star performance."

It’s always surprising how much wear shows up under cabinets, especially when flaking starts to spread.

For this Maple Ridge kitchen, we tackled some serious prep before refinishing every cabinet surface in a honey oak stain with just enough variance to highlight the wood’s character. Doors and drawer faces were carefully removed, sanded, and sprayed with waterborne polyurethane for lasting protection, while tough spots like the flaking underside near the sink got extra attention with sanding and fresh paint. We also replaced drawer boxes with soft-close slides, updated shelves, and installed new hinges and handles in a sleek black and brushed nickel mix.

The end result is a kitchen that feels refreshed and ready for daily life. If your cabinets are showing their age, there are options before a full renovation.

As the season of hosting and togetherness approaches, this kitchen makeover brings a contemporary touch to the heart of the home. The cabinetry was refaced in Euro White with a beveled Shaker style, adding depth and definition to the cabinet fronts. To complete the modern look, the island was wrapped in Charcoal Super Matte, introducing a sleek, understated finish that contrasts beautifully with the lighter cabinets. Upgraded handles tie the two finishes together, creating a cohesive design that feels current, inviting, and ready for holiday cooking and memorable gatherings.

✨ A Whole New Look in Swiss Coffee!

A dramatic color change can give a familiar kitchen an entirely different feel. These brown cabinets were refinished in Swiss Coffee by Benjamin Moore, replacing the deeper tones with a warm, creamy shade that brings a lighter look to the space. By keeping the existing handles, we preserved the original hardware while letting the new cabinet colour take centre stage. It’s a wonderful example of how refinishing can change the character of your kitchen without the expense and disruption of a full renovation.

☁️ A Lighter Look, With the Details That Matter!

This kitchen traded its previous look for a softer, brighter finish in Cloud White, giving the cabinetry a clean new presence while keeping familiar details that already worked. The existing glass cabinet door was converted into a regular wood cabinet, creating a more streamlined appearance and additional visual consistency. Rather than replacing everything, we reused the existing handles, proving that a thoughtful cabinet update can make a noticeable difference while preserving pieces you already love.

Sometimes a kitchen just needs a fresh start, not a full tear-out.

We worked through every cabinet, drawer, and shelf in this Surrey home, carefully cleaning, sanding, and refinishing each piece with a custom Farrow & Ball Dropcloth colour. Special attention went into filling old hardware holes and matching custom caulking for a smooth look across the kitchen, island, butler’s kitchen, and even the fireplace surround.

Seeing these spaces come together with new finishes and glass doors reminded us how much the details matter. A thoughtful update can bring new life to the heart of the home.
