"Dan was able to pick out and perform touchups that we didn't even notice were required!"

Raymond hired us for a bathroom, then came back for a full kitchen renovation down to the studs. Thanks, Raymond.

Thirty years in, attention to detail is still what we're proudest of. Planning a project? We serve Ottawa and surrounding areas. Visit danbrayrenovation.com

No bathroom in the basement? Now there is.

We added this one from scratch: slate-look porcelain floor, a walk-in shower with white subway tile and a tiled niche, and a clean, easy-to-maintain layout. Adding a bathroom downstairs changes how a whole house works.

"The crew did a great job with removing and replacing old, worn hollow concrete steps with a fantastic new wood deck and steps."

Not every project is a full renovation. Sometimes it's a front entrance that finally feels safe and welcoming again.

"Their attention to detail, workmanship, communication and expertise were beyond expectations."

Kind words from one of our bathroom renovation clients. Good communication matters as much as good tile work, and we work hard at both.

A bathroom built for slow mornings.

Glass walk-in shower with a rain head, built-in bench and river rock floor. A freestanding soaking tub. Quartz-top vanity with a matching linen tower, and wood-look tile throughout.

"All of these projects were completed on time, on budget and above our expectations."

This client came back to us three times: two bathrooms, then their kitchen. Repeat clients are the best compliment a contractor can get.

Before and after: this deck was past saving. Soft boards, worn railings, tired stairs.

We tore it out and rebuilt it properly: new structure on a solid foundation, low-maintenance composite decking and stairs, and clean white aluminum railings. Now it's a deck you actually want to sit on.

Is your deck due? We build and replace decks across Ottawa and surrounding areas. Message us or visit danbrayrenovation.com

Where does all the kitchen clutter go? Behind the doors.

Floor-to-ceiling pantry tower with a lift-up coffee station hidden inside, plus an island cooktop with a pop-up vent instead of a hood. Every detail planned around how the family actually uses the kitchen.

A cooktop built right into the island, with a clean view across the whole kitchen. Custom pantry wall, built-in oven and microwave tower, and a quartz island that works as prep space and a place to gather.

Cooktop in the island, but no big hood hanging over it. How?

Swipe to see it. A pop-up downdraft vent rises out of the counter when you start cooking and pulls smoke and steam down and away. When you're done it drops back flush, and the island is one clean surface again. Nothing blocking the view across the kitchen.

Pulling this off takes planning before a single cabinet goes in: clearances, ductwork and the cabinet layout all have to work together.
