🐶 Dog p*e doesn't kill your lawn... the concentration does.
One of the biggest misconceptions in lawn care is that dog urine is simply bad for grass.
Take a look at these photos. Notice how the grass surrounding the brown spots is actually darker green and growing more vigorously? That's because dog urine contains nitrogen—the same nutrient found in many lawn fertilizers.
The brown spot forms because there's too much nitrogen in one small area, which burns the grass. The surrounding turf receives a lower concentration, so it benefits from the added nutrients.
The easiest way to prevent these spots? Simply water the area after your dog goes to the bathroom. A quick rinse dilutes the urine, spreads the nitrogen through the soil, and helps prevent those unsightly burn marks.
