Woodpecker Tree Care Ltd. Woodpecker Tree Care is the preservation specialist in NS and NB offering a full range of tree-care. We care for trees, and we care about your needs.

We have twenty years of experience in growing, pruning and removing urban trees. Our first priority is clear – safety above all. Our ISA Certification requires advanced training and equipment, and ongoing training for all staff. If you’re planning tree work, the information on our website in “How To Hire An Arborist” may be helpful. We value long-term relationships with clients because getting it right takes trust and effort. Our goal is to offer our skills and experience to help you realize your own vision for your outdoor spaces. This goal extends to enhancing the value of trees in public spaces, and supporting municipalities and community organizations in their activities.

Birches dying in the Waterfowl Park. Most of these are european weeping birch (Betula pendula) that self-seeded from seeds in the material dredged to construct the park. The Bronze Birch Borer is feeding off these trees, cutting off nutrients and water to parts or all of the tree, and leaving D-shaped exit holes. See pics and links in the comments.
