Before You Sign Up for Snow Removal.. Check the Facts!
Saving $50 may look appealing, but it can quickly turn into thousands if an uninsured contractor damages your vehicle, garage, driveway or property.
Before signing, ask:
✅ Can they provide a current Certificate of Insurance?
✅ Do they have active WSIB coverage for their employees?
✅ Are there snowfall limits, overage fees or fuel surcharges?
✅ Do they have reliable equipment and backup equipment?
✅ Are they showing real photos of their operation or only AI-generated images?
Don’t fall for high pressure “limited availability” claims pushing you to sign up and pay immediately. Routes can legitimately fill up, but a properly prepared contractor should give you enough time to review the contract and verify their coverage.
Don’t choose based on price or pressure alone. Read the terms, confirm the facts and choose a reputable local company.
