I moved my chair around to watch, not to be critical or fault-finding, but because it was magic watching you all work together like you did! You're team is such a well-oiled machine! Everybody knew their role, and they were quick to get at it! To see Dad, Mom, and son out there, working together, did my heart good! We need to see more of that! You folks were obliging, easy to work with, very personable, and hard-working! There are no words to adequately thank you all for the beautiful job you did for me! I'm still "wowed" by it!

📍Lawrencetown, Annapolis Valley, NS

Valley Paving & Excavation Ltd. is currently seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our growing team. We are a fast-paced paving and excavation company working on residential, commercial, and provincial projects.

If you take pride in your work, operate equipment safely and efficiently, and aren’t afraid to get out of the machine when needed — we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

*Operate excavators, loaders, skid steers, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
*Perform excavation, grading, site prep, trenching, and backfilling
*Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
*Follow site plans and instructions
*Work independently and as part of a team
*Maintain a safe and clean work environment

Requirements:

*Proven experience operating heavy equipment
*Valid driver’s license
*Reliable transportation to and from work
*Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
*Ability to work alone and with a team
*Strong understanding of safe work practices
*Criminal Record Check (must be able to pass)
*References required

Assets (not required):

*Class 3 license
*First Aid certification
*WHMIS certification
*Experience in paving operations
*Mechanical knowledge related to the maintenance and troubleshooting of construction machinery.
