Progress …. Prep for the new cottage! We love the view on this job site 🌞

Three days.

That's all it took to bring this old cottage down. But those three days don't tell its story.

This cottage stood for many years. It began with someone's dream, built by hardworking hands with the hope that it would become a place where family and friends could gather. Over the years, it witnessed countless summers, quiet mornings, celebrations, laughter, and memories that became woven into every wall.

As we carefully took it apart, it was hard not to appreciate the craftsmanship and the people who first brought it to life. Every beam and every nail was a reminder that someone had once stood here with a vision for what this place could become.

Now, a new chapter begins.

We feel incredibly grateful to once again be entrusted by long-time clients who have become much more than customers over the years. We've had the privilege of building several commercial spaces for them, as well as their home, garage/bunkie …. and now their cottage. That kind of trust is something we never take for granted.

Soon, a new post and beam cottage will stand here. It will be filled with new traditions, new laughter, and a lifetime of memories still waiting to be made. We're honoured to be part of creating the place where those moments will unfold.

Here's to preserving the spirit of the past while building for the future.

Rodan is working hard through this heat to complete the Garage/Bunkie for our client. Decking to be built above, giving them a beautiful view of the lake !!

By the end of the month, our client will be moving their things into the Bunkie and we will start demolition of the existing cottage. Excavation will begin for prep of the new post and beam cottage build!

We are securing demolition and building permits and looking forward to getting this underway.

What a beautiful snowy day for window and door installations! 😊❄️ … working to complete this post and beam garage/bunkie prior to demo of the existing cottage to rebuild a matching post and beam cottage. Stay tuned for updates.
