Deep base cabinets look generous on a drawing.

In daily use, they often become black holes.

Pull-out baskets bring the contents to you, make inventory easier to see and reduce the need to unload half a cabinet to find one item.

A walk-in closet can hold a lot and still work badly.

The design should begin with an honest inventory: long hanging, short hanging, folded pieces, shoes, bags, accessories, seasonal storage and the surface used while getting ready.

Only then should drawers, open display, lighting and an island be placed.

Beautiful is the outcome. Organization is the plan.

Warmth is not created by choosing a wood finish and repeating it everywhere.

It comes from balance.

Here, the wood cabinetry and ceiling beams establish the rhythm, while the light hood, counters and backsplash keep the room from feeling heavy. Dark-framed display cabinets add contrast without breaking the material story.
