Turf King Turf is the oldest Lawn Care Company in canada. Established in 1962 Turfking Barrie is owned and operated by Ken and Maureen Murray since 1986.

They have been married since 1972, have three grown children, and now three grandchildren. Ken is a graduate of the University of Guelph, with a B.Sc. in Agriculture; Maureen is a retired R.N. They live on a hobby farm in Oro-Medonte, where Ken raises horses. In 1990 Ken became owner and franchisor of Turf King; As a result, Turf King Barrie became head office. Ken has taught lawn care for profess

ionals at a local community college for 10 years, and is often consulted by different levels of government on effective ways to reduce the use of pesticides in our environment. Ken is hands-on with lawncare in Barrie; with his experience and training, he has the capability to make on-the-spot assessments and decisions. Long before it was common practice, Turf King has been a leader in the use of effective, safe organics for lawns. Feel free to call and ask any lawn questions, advice is always free. Ken would be happy to visit your lawn for a personal assessment, and a no obligation estimate on services needed.
