We are Hiring!!
Excavator Operator

Harbour Foundations Ltd has been in business for almost 40 years - a medium sized company that specializes in commercial and residential concrete form work and heavy civil excavation. We are currently looking for an Excavator Operator to join our growing team. Working within the HRM area you would report to the Site Foreman. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner consistent with company values, policies and procedures. You will be expected to:

• have 3-5 years of experience operating an excavator (up to 25 tons)
• have a solid understanding of construction, maintenance techniques and how to safely use equipment
• check equipment before operating to ensure that mechanical, safety and emergency components are in good working order
• perform all job functions in a safe and responsible manner
• clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work as required
• keep detailed and accurate inspection and maintenance documentation
• perform duties in various weather conditions, and
• have a reliable vehicle to commute to locations within HRM.

Under the direction of the Foreman, the Labourer is responsible for performing heavy manual labour duties to assist with placing, finishing, protecting, and repairing concrete.
