Materials Used: Ceramic, Mosaic, Marble, Quarry, Slate, Stone,Granite

Specific Skills: Prepare, measure and mark surfaces to be covered. Mix, apply and spread adhesive subs

tances. Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to base. Align and straighten tiles. Cut and fit tiles around obstacles. Pack grout into joints and between tiles. Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles. Cut, surface, polish and install marble, tile, porcelain, mosaic and/or granite. Install terrazzo surfaces and polish surfaces by hand or using machines. Install pre-cast terrazzo, granite or marble units

Additional Skills: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications. Prepare rough plans and sketches. Estimate labour and material costs.
