👽💀 Frequently Asked Questions... Answered! 💀👽

We've been getting a lot of great questions as Horror-Fi approaches, so here's a quick FAQ to help you prepare for an amazing weekend of Horror and Sci-Fi!

1) Can we buy tickets in advance?
➡️ Tickets are available at the door only and can be purchased using cash, debit, or credit.

2) Where can I purchase autographs and selfies?
➡️ Autographs and selfies are purchased directly from the celebrity guests at their tables. All guests accept cash and some also accept debit. An ATM is conveniently located beside the celebrity area.

3) Will the celebrities be there both days? Is there a schedule for appearances? Are there any panels?
➡️ All celebrity guests will be appearing both Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm, except for reasonable breaks throughout the day. There are no panels scheduled for our inaugural year, but if celebrity guests continue to be part of future Horror-Fi events, we'd love to introduce panels and additional programming in future year.

4) When does the Cosplay Contest start? Will there be a Masquerade?
➡️ The Cosplay Contest begins at 3:00 PM on Saturday. Registration is available any time before the contest begins at the Gaby's World of Darkness booth.

As for a Masquerade... that depends on you! The more cosplayers who attend, the greater the chance we'll be able to make it happen.

5) Is there a weapons check?
➡️ Yes. A weapons check station will be located directly outside the event entrance. All prop weapons must be inspected before entering the event space.

6) What is Sector 13 on the floor plan?
➡️ Sector 13 remains classified.

Access to information is restricted. Any reports, rumours, sightings or theories are purely speculative. We believe every great event should have a few surprises...

7) Is there a vendor list available?

Please Note:
If you've attended one of our Geeked Out Events at the Nepean Sportsplex before, you may notice a change for Horror-Fi. You'll still enter through Entrance 4 at the back of the building, but the entrance into the event hall has changed. We are still in the same space, just different doors. Please refer to the attached floor plan.

Brand new event from the great people at Geeked Out Events. So pleased to be a vendor for the inaugural Horror-Fi.

Geeked Out is proud to present Horror-Fi. Coming in 2026, this dual genre event will offer a shopping experience that is out of this world! With thrills and chills of entertainment, things to see and do, it will be a “HORROR”ific weekend in Ottawa!
