My client is based in Ohio, USA rents and sells a diverse range of quality Formwork and Shoring Systems for the construction of all types of concrete structures, providing an integrated and value-added service. We are looking for a high-performing General Manager for the zone, based in Ohio branch, to help us meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping our company competitive and innovative. Our ideal General Manager has in-depth knowledge and experience of the overall activities of the company and particularly in the sales process, formwork and shoring in the construction industry, relationship building, and closing deals. You will be able to identify customer needs and requirements to promote our company’s solutions and achieve mutual satisfaction. The main goal is to contribute in sustaining and growing our business to achieve long-term success.
Objectives of this Role
• Represent our company, with a comprehensive understanding of our offerings
• Research consumer needs and identify how our solutions meet them
• Hire, train, motivate, and advise a team highly motivated individuals for each position within the company
• Achieve company objectives through effective planning, setting sales goals, analyzing performance data, and projecting future performance.
• Generate leads, and build and nurture client relationships
Skills and Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or similar
• 10+ years in management within a corporate setting
• Proven track record of success the sales cycle from plan to close
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Superb leadership ability
• Ability to travel at least 50% of the time
Desired Skills:
• Have at least 10+ years’ experience in civil infrastructure construction, shell concrete construction (ideal former entrepreneur who prefers to be employed), formwork /shoring rentals or sales, architecture or engineering project management, or similar product sales.
• Demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers – both internal and external.
• Be a pro-active, self-motivated, self-starter who is action oriented and drives for results.
• Be experienced with technical sales to engineers and specifying agencies (Not necessity but a plus).
