As we near our 100th Anniversary, we want to reflect on the people and projects that have helped get us to where we are today.

Gord Denham, Project Manager and Estimator, is pictured on site overseeing a complex high-voltage equipment upgrade on the 27th floor of 1075 West Georgia. With no elevator access, the team removed a section of the concrete wall to remove and replace old equipment using a 475-foot crane. Gord credits Henry Siemens for his expertise in guiding the team through two challenging shutdowns, which involved replacing three transformers with two, showcasing the team’s ingenuity and problem-solving skills.

Once a year, all our staff donate to support a local charity they love through our Day of Giving, and we want to highlight these incredible organizations proudly.

This month, we're recognizing Vancouver Fire Fighters Charities, an organization run entirely by off-duty firefighters who volunteer their time and donate from their own paychecks. Their community programs include Snacks for Kids, Sports for Kids, Toys for Kids, and Lifelines for Seniors, ensuring their fundraising efforts directly support those in need across Vancouver.

Patio season is here! Before you plug in your string lights and outdoor speaker, it's worth making sure your outdoor outlets are safe. Weatherproof covers and GFCI protection keep your outlets safe from rain and sprinklers, which matters a lot when you're running extension cords outdoors.

As we near our 100th Anniversary, we want to reflect on the people and projects that have helped get us to where we are today.

Kat Falk and Brian Lawson, an estimator from the downtown office, embarked on a fishing trip in 2019, accompanied by fishing guide Morgan Johnson. The trio enjoyed a day of fishing and camaraderie, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
