Love this winding garden path we made with 10mm Rundle Fines and 1” Rundle Flagstone. It creates a connection between the firepit area and the hot tub, and lets you get up close and personal with the sloped planting bed.

Once these plants get established and fill out the space there will be a wide selection of different flower colours, textures, and timings throughout the season.

This retaining wall project was designed for a sloped backyard on a new build in Discovery Ridge. We met with the client and put together a simple and functional design drawing that laid the foundation for a smooth installation.

The wall forms a clean arch enclosing the bottom corner of the yard. We planted cotoneaster shrubs along the top side to eventually form a hedge, and installed 10mm rundle rock in a 14’ circle to create a space for a firepit and chairs.

Planting was kept basic with a few select trees, and classic Karl Foerster and blue fescue grasses. The central staircase creates a gateway between the upper and lower tiers of the yard and is one of highlights of the project.

We installed this Techo-Bloc Patio in 2025 in the community of Legacy. After consulting the client on their vision for the project we started with a basic design drawing to nail down the shape and product selections.

The yard is slightly sloped to one side, so we used Raffinato blocks to raise the low side up to the final grade. We used Techo-Bloc Blu60 in Shale Grey with an Onyx Black border to match the Raffinato blocks.

We selected the Valencia firepit and accented it with Onyx Black Villagio pavers. To finish everything off we installed the back fence to enclose the yard to create a cozy, private outdoor living space.

Beautiful Delphiniums! These perennials (Delphinium x cultorum) grow about 5 feet tall and have glorious spikes of flowers that bloom in early-mid summer. With unique foliage and flower colours you can’t go wrong with this great plant.

A few more weeks until we can start planting again. We will be starting some hardscaping projects in April, and looking forward to meeting more clients as the weather improves.

Simple design and stunning bricks! These clients wanted a central patio space for enjoying time outdoors. We made this 12x14 patio with Barkman Broadway pavers in sterling colour and an offset brick pattern. The marble-like aesthetic takes this functional design to the next level.

We planted upright juniper trees along the back fence for eventual privacy and laid sod around the patio. From mud-pit to masterpiece this backyard project was a lot of fun to put together.

We had lots of fun building this Firepit circle! Large Kootenay Brownstone boulders form a half circle around the 10mm rundle fines. The paver patio guides you into this beautiful space from each section of the walk-out basement.

Each of these boulders was hand selected for this project. Looking forward to returning to complete the planting beds this Spring and tie it all together. There will be trees, shrubs, perennials, and mulch beds.

We built this gate / arbor to expand this client's backyard space. They wanted the trellis built in so they can grow vines up and over the arch. We made the raised beds on each side to accommodate the planting.

Starting with a 3D model to get a sense of the size shape, we then built the fence off the corner of the house and tied it into the existing fence on the property line. We used 4x6 posts and pressure treated lumber.

Blue Clips Bellflower (Campanula carpatica ‘Blue Clips’) is a low growing perennial with unique foliage and as the name suggests, bell shaped flowers.

Not to be confused with Creeping Bellflower, a noxious w**d in Calgary that you may be familiar with, this plant is a healthy addition to your groundcover.

After moving into their new home these clients wanted to enhance the front yard space by adding a simple paver patio. We used Dimensions 12 pavers and a 4x8 Holland soldier course border in charcoal.

With a large mature spruce tree nearby we excavated by hand to avoid as much damage to the root system as possible. Once we completed the patio the clients finished the planting beds and mulching themselves (see second photo).

This year we will be returning to do more pavers and a firepit in the backyard, and the client will once again complete the garden beds on their own. Now is the time to book your hardscaping! Contact us now to see how we can work together to bring your vision to life.
