🔰Weekly Pest Control Tasks for Property Manager
These are the tasks that keep small issues from becoming expensive ones. I recommend assigning these to your maintenance or cleaning staff and logging them every week.
📌 Inspect all garbage and recycling areas for overflow, spilled food, and residue buildup.
📌 Clean dumpster pads and compactor zones thoroughly. These are the number one attractant for rodents and flies on any multi-unit property.
📌 Walk common areas, hallways, laundry rooms, and mechanical rooms, and look for droppings, gnaw marks, insect trails, or live pest sightings.
📌 Follow up on every tenant pest report within 24 to 48 hours. If you delay responses, that’s where infestations get out of hand.
📌 Check floor drains in common areas and laundry rooms for standing water or organic buildup that attracts drain flies.
