It’s always exciting to hand over a garage to the framers because we know what it’s like to not have a garage in the winter. A lot of concrete went into this slab and its (retaining) walls.

Family. Friends. Summer 2026. This rager is one for the books. Together we raised over $700 and 340lbs of food for the Veteran’s Food Bank. We had our very own Daryl D’Angelo, aka DJ Dirty setting the mood for the party with an incredibly diverse set, we had Kranked, a live band carry us through the rest of the evening, we had friends coming in from out of town, friends coming in after weddings, after funerals, we had our friends bring their children, we had tons of great dishes that everyone brought, we smoked some mean brisket and pork to share with our guests, we had over 160 Jell-O shots, we had a bucket golf and mini golf tournament, we opened up our pool that was built and serviced by Trevi Pools and Spas Calgary, we launched our new sauna that we built this winter, we had an ice cream stand that no one knew about 😂😂😂, we had drink towers, five fire areas, a few dancers, we had a karaoke couple (who truly knocked it out of the park), we had laughs, no tears, no injuries, we had people that stayed up until 5am, we had Sunday breakfast casseroles, we had beautiful weather, but most importantly-we had the people that we love most with us. We wouldn’t be able to do this for you if you didn’t help us in some way shape or form. We thank you for all
of your referrals, business, and support. We are so grateful to call so many people our friends. Thank you for coming. Thank you for sharing your food with everyone. Thank you for respecting our home. Thank you for bringing your good cheer. Thank you for being our friends! We had such a great time and we are already looking forward to the next one.

Just a little flex. 😏

We did this stamp for some friends about 10 years ago (we can’t remember the exact year), and every now and then we come across some of our old work and are pretty damn proud of how well it’s holding up. This piece is a great example. 👌

I think we’ve only gone back once to wash and seal it—but maybe our friends can chime in and let us know if they’ve sealed it more often!

Now, there are other times we come across work from even a year ago where the quality isn’t quite where we would expect it to be. There can be a gazillion reasons for that, but one of the biggest challenges we face is the ever-changing concrete mix designs.

Scientists and engineers put their two cents in and tweak the mixes year after year… and honestly, it can make it pretty tough to keep up with all the changes. 😂

Thankfully, experience goes a long way. We know every season is going to bring something different, and we know the concrete isn’t necessarily going to behave like it did the year before.

So at the very least, we’re prepared for it—and we’re never surprised. 🙃

10 years later and this one is still looking pretty damn good. We’ll take that as a win. 💪
