What started as a vision quickly and quite easily became a reality for these homeowners. Our team built the risers in our shop then figured the rest out on site. We consider these risers an absolute win! Sometimes I surprise myself and sometimes I impress myself-but it takes a good team to pull something like this off. I’m thankful to work in a trade where we can check our egos at the door and work together to make beautiful things happen.

We tackled this California broom finished pool for Trevi earlier this month. What a massive backyard-no wonder they wanted a pool! Even with a small backyard though…it’s worth a discussion with our friends at Trevi pools and spas Calgary. We’ve done some pretty wild things in some pretty tight spaces!

Another broom finish for the win! These bullnose steps that prepped took 2 bags of integral Smoke colour.

When it comes to integral colour:

1 bag/m³ — Light / Subtle Colour: Provides a soft, understated colour change with a light tint.
2 bags/m³ — Medium / Moderate Colour: Provides a noticeable, richer colour with moderate vibrancy.
3 bags/m³ — Full / Vibrant Colour: Provides the deepest, most saturated and vibrant colour achievable with integral colour. You cannot exceed 3 bags as it will begin to affect the integrity of the concrete.

Note: most of our clients go with 1 or 2 bags of colour, although a few have gone with 3.

This is the last official pool of the summer for Trevi-but don’t worry-we still have a handful or two more to go before the end of the year. Full disclosure-we had a little incident on site today 🐾 but luckily we were still around to take care of the damage. We don’t have any photos of the criminal but you can imagine how cute he is-and how sorry he felt 🐶. This one will be a salt and pepper finish and will be sandblasted soon.
