Super proud of the guys at Flatout and at Trevi for stepping out of their comfort zone with this one. Everyone knocked it out of the park. It’s not in our typical scope of work but we don’t shy away from anything concrete. Google-Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) houses use hollow foam blocks (expanded polystyrene) stacked like Lego bricks, reinforced with steel, and filled with concrete to create incredibly strong, energy-efficient, and quiet homes. They cost roughly 3% to 10% more upfront than wood-frame homes but offer 20% to 60% lower energy bills and 100+ year lifespans.
