A green light doesn’t always mean the entire door is working properly.

An access reader may respond correctly while the physical door fails to release, close or relock. Delayed responses, repeated denials and inconsistent locking can point to problems with the reader, latch, door alignment or other hardware.

A door can look closed without actually being secure.
