Carrington Basement Progress 🔨

Big progress at our Carrington basement project. Framing and rough-ins are complete, followed by drywall, primer and ceiling texture. Doors and trim are now installed and we’re into the finishing stages.

It’s all coming together and starting to look like a completely different space.

Another step forward at Calming Waters Wellness.

We’re working through a tight schedule on this project, so coordination between trades and keeping each stage moving is critical.

The framers are finishing up and Wiehler Mechanical is already underway with the plumbing and HVAC rough-ins. The space is taking shape quickly as we keep pushing toward the next stage.

Great afternoon touring the Trusscore facility with Steve from Trusscore and Jay from Lifestyle Drywall.

It was impressive getting a behind-the-scenes look at how Trusscore is challenging traditional building methods and developing innovative alternatives to conventional drywall and wall systems.

What stood out to me was the focus not only on creating products that are durable, lightweight and efficient to install, but also on sustainability. Trusscore products are 100% recyclable, with off-cuts and excess material able to be reground and reused to manufacture new building products rather than simply ending up in the landfill.

As contractors, I think it’s important that we continue looking at new materials and better ways to build, especially products that can improve performance while reducing waste.

A big thank you to Steve and the Trusscore team for taking the time to walk us through the facility and manufacturing process, and to Jay from Lifestyle Drywall for joining me for the tour.

We’re excited about the opportunities ahead and look forward to working together on future projects.

5 years with TCON.

Today we’re recognizing Austin Asselin for five years with Towns Construction.

Over the past five years, Austin has grown alongside the company and become a big part of what we do. From working hands-on in the field to taking on more responsibility leading our sites, his commitment, work ethic and willingness to step up have played an important role in where TCON is today.

Construction isn’t always easy. There are long days, challenging projects and plenty of problems to solve along the way. Having people you can count on makes all the difference.

Thanks for everything you’ve put into TCON over the last five years, Austin. We appreciate having you as part of the team and look forward to what’s ahead.

Demo is complete at our latest commercial project for the Calgary Police Association. 👮‍♂️

We’re renovating Cuff N’ Billy, along with the adjoining CPA banquet space, giving both areas a major refresh while keeping some of the character and history that makes this place unique.

The existing ceiling systems and finishes have now been removed, the space has been cleaned up, and we’re ready for the next phase.

Up next:
• Mechanical modifications for the new exposed ceiling
• Electrical and lighting upgrades
• Fire protection adjustments
• New finishes throughout
• Full refresh of the restaurant and banquet areas

There’s a lot happening behind the scenes on this one, and we’ll be sharing the transformation as it progresses.

Progress is moving quickly on the new Calming Waters Psychology clinic in Sage Hill.

We’re transforming the existing shell space into a fully finished clinic, including new offices, washrooms, kitchenette, mechanical, electrical and all associated interior finishes.

This week, layout was completed, the concrete slab was saw cut, and excavation was completed for the new underground plumbing.

Next up is underground plumbing rough-in, followed by inspection and concrete restoration as we continue into framing and rough-ins.

Looking forward to seeing this new clinic come together over the next several weeks.

Carrington basement development is taking shape đź‘Ś

Drywall is complete, primer is on, and we’re officially moving into the finishing stages.

Next up: flooring, doors, trim, cabinetry and all the details that bring the space together.

Phase one complete at Calcana’s new office renovation.

This stage was all about transforming the core workspace
clean framing, new layouts, updated finishes, and getting the foundation right for what’s coming next.

We kept the schedule tight, coordinated trades efficiently, and delivered a clean, functional space ready for the next phase.

Phase two is already in motion.
