The ball is rolling and framing is just about complete at our Cody Range Reno 😁 Each room has been thoughtfully planned, with no detail spared. Here’s a sneak peek at the whimsical Laundry Room flat lay, along with the space in which these beautiful selections will reside 💕

In this Home Office, mindfulness and creativity is encouraged. To achieve this, a “less is more” aesthetic is the goal. By tapering down on visual and mental clutter and focusing attention on the purposeful placement of furniture and accessories, this den space creates a serene working and reading environment. Soft sage hues are introduced to add a pop of colour without overwhelming the space 😍

Perhaps it goes without saying, but your home should be your happy place :) When you step through your front door, you should feel your heart lift - it should be a place that sparks joy and gives you sanctuary while also reflecting your unique personality and style.

I want to give you 3 tips that I hope will help you to make your home your happy place :)

1. Go with your gut. We all have an internal sense of what we like and don’t like - pay attention to what your gut is telling you and choose your decor based on that. Whether it be a piece of art that brings a smile to your face or a soft fabric that offers warmth, choose the things that spark joy within you.

2. Don’t be afraid to explore. If you see something in a magazine or on a Pinterest board that interests you, be open to stepping outside of your comfort zone. It is possible that you can find a new sense of joy that you never even knew existed :)

3. Design for right now. While creating a space that is timeless can often make sense, you need to decide if those timeless decisions truly bring you joy. If they do, that’s awesome, but if a fun colour or pattern sparks joy now, I say incorporate it! Your home is supposed to reflect you, so let it reflect the you that you are now. It is worth adding those throw pillows or throwing a little wallpaper up if there is an opportunity for a little extra joy ;)

If you have worked with me you have most likely heard me say the term ‘peek a boo moment’ - you’ll remember because I tend to get quite excited and energized at the thought of including such moments into my designs :)

For me, a peek a boo moment is when we take what would sometimes be considered a secondary space and do something fun, interesting and unexpected with it. So that just a peek of the room will catch your eye and make you want to see it again.

Offices, powder rooms, laundry rooms and mud rooms are wonderful places to create peek a boo moments. All you have to do is add a pop of colour, throw up some wallpaper or do something out of the ordinary from the rest of your home. Here, you can be playful so don’t be afraid to be creative, step out of your comfort zone and have fun with it!! I want to hear about your peek a boo moments, do you have any in your home?

When I say the words ‘wood kitchen’ a lot of people raise their eyebrows politely as they consider how to break it to me that the 90’s actually did come, but then it went… a quarter century ago… 😂
While I love a good blast from the past, especially in interior design, there is something about those yellowy golden hues of honey oak cabinetry that I am alright to leave in the rear view mirror. BUT I do think the designers of the time were onto something ;) Wood is a great addition to any kitchen - it provides a warm and inviting environment that is not only rich in texture and natural beauty, but also offers a sense of depth and grounding. A versatile material and finish, wood can lend itself to many design styles in a very successful and timeless way and can offer a complexity and character not found in white or painted kitchens.
What are you? Team white or wood in your kitchen?

We made it to Friday!! I hope everyone had a fabulous first week of September!!
Secretly, or maybe not so secretly, I love this time of year - sometimes the end of summer can feel like that weird week between Christmas and New Year’s - when one day melts into the next and time doesn’t really exist. September brings with it a new energy!!! …And kids are back to school, so that’s a bonus 😉😜
Have a great weekend everyone!!

In this bathroom, we are looking up, way up!! Here, nothing was overlooked, especially the ceiling. Stretching far above the stunning claw foot tub, this ceiling boasts an architectural two toned turret adorned with surrounding windows and a traditional style crystal chandelier. The view from this tub is spectacular and whether you are looking up or out, this is a bath where bubbles meet bubbly and unwinding only happens in luxury and style. 💖🥂

To me, Transitional Interior Design is all about connecting elements from the past with elements from the here and now. It is about creating a seamless and perfectly blended balance between the traditional and modern styles. Here, we have used clean lines and higher contrast to create modern simplicity and paired it with a combination of deep traditional wood tones and a soft luxurious white to create a mature elegance through neutral colour and texture. This beautiful built in was just the beginning to many remarkable features we got to design in this home with 🙌♥️😘

Gone are the days when Laundry Rooms were boring, utilitarian and a designer’s afterthought. And thank goodness for that! I don’t know about you, but with 3 kids, I find myself spending a lot of time sorting, rinsing, washing, drying, folding, repeat. To me, it only makes sense that Laundry Rooms be designed with a more inviting, stylish and functional aesthetic in mind. I mean, if we have to do laundry, shouldn’t it be done in a place we actually want to visit?!

This walk-through laundry room boasts a double set of machines, functional storage space, breathable hanging room, a deep sink, plenty of day light and a charming atmosphere. This is a space where the words “Laundry Day” will be redefined :)

Simplicity in interior design can be a luxurious and sophisticated choice. By focusing on the essentials, using negative space, a limited color palette, and incorporating clean lines and geometric shapes, it is possible to create a calm and refined space that exudes luxury 💖

After working with Lena from on her YYC salon and then Hollywood salon, we started work on this passion project. Lena is a highly talented hair stylist and innovator in the hair industry and she is taking the world by storm one beautiful head at a time 💖 Her work can be seen on shows like and - She is the real deal who is not afraid to be herself, take chances and go for gold. I am encouraged by her drive and tenacity and I can’t wait to see what she does next. ❤️

Now you know about my girl, let’s talk about Hairadise. When asked, Lena would describe paradise as being by the ocean 🌊 She has a deep personal connection and even her hair extension creations are inspired by the way the natural elements transform our radiant locks. With this in mind, I set out to create a space that reflected this brand and product.

In an attempt to promote a bright and organic vibe I opted for a lighter colour palette and focused on including natural fibres and textures. We kept our lines minimal and structured so the wefts of hair would contrast in shape and stand out when displayed. As a means to ground the space and add a playful, yet sophisticated, element, we added large scale black and white banana leaf wallpaper with black horizontal and vertical mouldings, along with a fun rope swing 💖

This was a great project to work on and I am excited for Lena’s success! The sky is truly the limit for this shining star 🌟 and I wish you only the best 🙌😘
