Strike was proud to support the second annual Joule Women's Energy Network’s Full Swing Golf Invitational at Silver Springs Golf & Country Club as the First Tee Gift Sponsor, outfitting every golfer with a pair of custom socks, and sponsoring an Indigenous Hole Prize out on the course.

More importantly, the tournament raised an incredible $8,000 for the Joule Scholarship Fund for the 2027 Summit, helping Indigenous women working in the trades within Alberta’s energy industry access valuable professional development opportunities.

We’re proud to support initiatives that build a stronger, more inclusive energy sector.

Congratulations to the Joule team on another successful Full Swing Invitational! 👏

We were proud to be a hole sponsor at the Strathcona Resources Ltd. 6th Annual Charity Golf Tournament on August 21 at the beautiful Heritage Pointe Golf Course.

It was a fantastic day spent connecting with industry friends while supporting three incredible organizations making a difference in our communities: motionball for Special Olympics, Inside Education, and Children’s Cottage Society.

Our Strategic Account Manager and resident chef 👨‍🍳, Brett Noble, along with Jade Leong from our HR team, were stationed on the hole serving up perogies for golfers as they made their way around the course.

A big thank you to Strathcona Resources for bringing our industry together in support of some truly worthwhile causes. We’re always proud to support our clients and our communities!

🚨 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭: 𝐑𝐨𝐛 𝐏𝐚𝐢𝐧 🚨

Meet Rob Pain, a Project Controller with our Field Services team!

Rob first joined Strike in 2017 as a Management Trainee in Bonnyville, gaining experience across different areas of the business and building a strong foundation in our operations. After a family move took him elsewhere for a couple of years, another move brought him back our way, and we were happy to welcome him back to Strike in 2024, this time in a role based out of our Corporate Office in Calgary.

Rob is one of the friendliest guys you’ll ever meet. His calm, even-keeled demeanour combined with the fact that he’s wicked smart is a pretty deadly combination. With a background in petroleum engineering and experience on the operational side of the business, Rob brings a unique perspective to project controls, allowing him to look at challenges from multiple angles and understand both the numbers and the work behind them.

Known for being thoughtful, approachable, dependable, and always willing to lend a hand, Rob has quickly become an integral part of the Strike team. He brings a steady presence to whatever he’s working on and is the kind of person who makes the people around him better.

We’re certainly glad Rob’s career path brought him back to Strike!

Check out his spotlight to learn more about his career journey and the person behind the projects. Thank you, Rob, for everything you bring to the team! 👷‍♂️🔥

For the seventh year in a row, Strike Group was proud to support the Calgary Police Youth Foundation’s Pohkaisksinimaatstsoh’taksist Backpack Program.

Together, volunteers helped fill 1,400 backpacks with school supplies for Indigenous and marginalized youth across Calgary, helping students return to school feeling prepared, supported, and ready to learn.

Back-to-school season can bring both excitement and challenges, and having the right supplies can make a meaningful difference. We’re proud to be part of an initiative that brings our community together to help young people start the school year with confidence.

At Strike, we believe education creates opportunity and is an important foundation for positive change. By helping students start the year equipped for success, we’re investing in young people and in stronger communities for the future.

A huge thank you to the CPYF and all the volunteers who made this possible.

- our Grande Prairie team recently completed a LACT Facility Upgrade near Valleyview, Alberta.

The project involved replacing C3 and C5 pumps, upgrading structural steel and piping systems, installing new VFDs, MCCs, transformers, instrumentation, HVAC equipment, and completing critical tie-ins during a scheduled outage window.

Projects like this demonstrate the value of integrated mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation expertise working as one team to support our clients' facilities and long-term asset performance.
