Our Site Supervisor Checks Every Single Shingle — Here Is Why That Matters | CRR

At Calgary Roofing and Restoration our site supervisor has one non negotiable responsibility above everything else — every single shingle that goes on your roof has to be perfect. Damaged shingles get pulled. Misaligned courses get corrected. And anything that does not meet the CRR standard gets addressed before it ever gets covered up by the next layer.
In this video we are showing you exactly what that quality control process looks like on a real job site and why having a dedicated set of eyes checking every shingle from the first bundle to the last ridge cap is one of the most important things that separates CRR from every other roofing company in Calgary.
A bad shingle that gets nailed down and covered up becomes a leak you cannot explain three years from now. Our site supervisor makes sure that never happens on any CRR roof. Ever. 🏠💛

Your Roofer Left Out the Drip Edge — Here Is Why That Is a Problem | CRR

Do you actually need drip edge on your roof? In Calgary and throughout our market the answer is not just yes — it is required by building code. In this video we are breaking down exactly what drip edge is, why it is required, and what happens to your roof when a contractor skips it or installs it incorrectly.
Drip edge is the metal flashing installed along the eaves and rakes of your roof that directs water away from the fascia board and into the eavestrough where it belongs. Without it water travels back underneath the shingles and underlayment causing rot to your fascia decking and sheathing that starts invisible and gets incredibly expensive over time.
Beyond the damage it causes skipping drip edge on a Calgary roof means your installation does not meet building code — which has real implications for your home insurance your resale value and your warranty coverage. At CRR drip edge goes on every single roof correctly every single time because cutting corners on a code requirement is never something we are willing to do for any customer. 🏠💛

The Site Supervisor Job Is Simple — Every Shingle Has to Be Perfect | CRR

At Calgary Roofing and Restoration the job of our site supervisor is not complicated — but it is critical. Every single shingle that goes on your roof has to be perfect. And any shingle that should not go on simply does not. Full stop.
In this video we are talking about what that quality control process actually looks like on a real CRR job site. Damaged shingles get pulled before they ever touch the roof. Misaligned courses get corrected before they get covered up. Shingles with manufacturing defects get set aside and replaced. And every bundle that comes off the pallet gets checked before the crew starts nailing.
Most roofing crews work fast and hope for the best. At CRR our site supervisor works fast and makes sure every single shingle on your roof earned its place there. Because one compromised shingle in the wrong spot can lead to a leak that costs far more than the two minutes it would have taken to catch it on the job site.
Your roof deserves perfection. That is what our site supervisor is there to deliver. 🏠💛

This Is the Tool That Rips Shingles Off a Roof and Here Is How It Works | CRR

Ever wonder how a roofing crew strips an entire roof of old shingles so quickly and efficiently? In this video we are showing you the tear off tool that makes it happen and breaking down exactly how it works and why using the right equipment on the tear off makes the whole install go better from start to finish.
The shingle removal tool — also known as a roofing tear off shovel or shingle ripper — is a specially designed tool with a serrated blade and leverage bar that gets underneath the shingles and pops them off the decking along with the nails in one clean motion. When used correctly it is fast efficient and protects the decking underneath from unnecessary damage that a less experienced crew with the wrong tool would cause.
At CRR the tear off is just as important as the install. A clean tear off means a clean decking surface and a clean decking surface means a better finished roof. 🏠🔨💛

The Intake Vent Detail That Keeps Your Attic Breathing the Right Way | Slantback | CRR

Proper roof ventilation requires two things working together — exhaust at the top and intake at the bottom. In this video we are breaking down the slantback air intake vent and explaining exactly why it is such an important component of a properly balanced roofing system at Calgary Roofing and Restoration.
The slantback intake vent is installed low on the roof at the eaves and allows fresh cool air to enter the attic from the outside. That incoming air pushes the hot moist air up and out through the exhaust vents at the ridge creating the continuous airflow your attic needs to prevent heat buildup in the summer moisture accumulation in the winter and the premature shingle aging and decking damage that follows when ventilation is not balanced correctly.
Without proper intake your exhaust vents cannot do their job no matter how many you have. At CRR we make sure both sides of the ventilation equation are addressed on every single roof because half a ventilation system is no ventilation system at all. 🏠💛

The Most Important Person on Your Job Site Is Not Who You Think | CRR Site Supervisor

When a roofing crew shows up at your home and gets to work — who is making sure every single detail is being done correctly? At Calgary Roofing and Restoration that answer never changes. Every job has a dedicated site supervisor on site from the first tear off to the final magnetic sweep and in this video we are explaining exactly why that role is one of the most important things that separates CRR from every other roofing company in Calgary.
A site supervisor is not extra. They are essential. They are the quality check on every layer as it goes down. The person who catches the mistake before it gets covered up by the next course of shingles. The communicator who keeps you informed throughout the day. And the final set of eyes before CRR ever calls a job complete and packs up the truck.
Without a site supervisor mistakes become expensive problems that show up as leaks years later. With one nothing gets missed. That is the CRR promise and it never changes regardless of the size of the job. 🏠💛
