Every project is a chance to make an outdoor space work even better for the people who use it.

For Nancy, that meant transforming the area where a hot tub once sat into a seamless deck extension that feels like it was always part of the original design. From offering thoughtful recommendations to completing the project efficiently, our goal is always to create outdoor spaces that are both functional and built to last.

Thank you, Nancy, for your kind words and recommendation. We're thrilled you're enjoying your new deck extension and appreciate you trusting Maritime West Construction with your project.

When people think about a deck, they usually picture the decking, railings, and finishing touches.

But the real strength of a deck comes from what's underneath.

Footings, posts, beams, and joists work together to support every step, every gathering, and every season of Alberta weather. While they're rarely seen once construction is complete, they're one of the most important parts of a safe, long-lasting deck.

It's a good reminder that great craftsmanship starts below the surface.

Every project is about more than installing new decking—it's about creating an outdoor space that homeowners can enjoy with confidence for years to come.

For David and Laura, that started with resurfacing their existing deck with composite decking and ended with a finished space that exceeded their expectations. From accommodating their timeline to helping install their privacy panels, every detail mattered because delivering a great result goes beyond what's written in the contract.

Thank you, David and Laura, for trusting Maritime West Construction with your project and for your thoughtful recommendation. We truly appreciate your support and look forward to working with you again on your next project.

A backyard should be designed for more than just summer.

This custom cedar pergola creates a defined outdoor retreat while the Hideaway Privacy Screens add privacy without making the space feel closed in. Finished with Toja Grid brackets, the clean, modern hardware complements the natural warmth of the cedar and brings the entire project together.

Whether you're soaking in the hot tub after a long day or enjoying a quiet evening outdoors, thoughtful design can turn an ordinary corner of your yard into one of your favourite places to be.

Featuring privacy screens and brackets.

When homeowners start planning a new fence, one of the first questions is usually, "What's going to cost the most?"

The answer isn't always as simple as the material you choose.

The size of your yard, the number of gates, changes in elevation, site access, and even the layout of your property can all influence the overall cost of a fence project. That's why two fences that look similar can have very different project budgets.

A professional estimate takes all of these factors into account, helping ensure there are no surprises once construction begins.
