A little fall, a little snow, and a whole lot to be thankful for. 🍂❄️

We’ve had some beautiful fall days, and now Alberta is giving us a quick reminder that winter is never too far away.

Either way, we’re grateful for another busy season, great projects, and all the homeowners who trusted us with their outdoor spaces this year.

Happy Thanksgiving weekend from all of us at National Fence & Deck.

Fall is officially here 🍂

The days are getting shorter, the air is getting cooler, and backyard season is starting to look a little different.

We’ve been lucky to spend the warmer months building some pretty great outdoor spaces, and there’s still something about a finished deck, a little privacy, and a crisp fall evening that just works.

Here are a few of the projects that kept us busy this season.

There’s a reason Trex is such a popular choice for Calgary backyards.

Clean look, low maintenance, and built to handle a whole lot of real life outside.

This one keeps the design simple and polished, with the decking doing most of the talking.

A good deck doesn’t need to be overdone. It just needs to be built well and fit the space.

August, you were good to us. ☀️

Long evenings, backyard dinners, bare feet, and making the most of every bit of summer we can.

We may be heading into September, but we’re definitely not done with backyard season yet.

Want a little more privacy without making the backyard feel closed in? 👀

Privacy walls are such a simple way to make an outdoor space feel more comfortable, while still keeping it open, clean and inviting.

They can add a bit of separation, help block a sightline, or just make the space feel more finished.

Sometimes that little bit of extra privacy is what makes a backyard feel a lot more like your own.

Same idea, two very different backyards.

A pergola can make a finished outdoor space feel even more inviting, or give a brand-new backyard a strong starting point.

These two builds show how much the setting changes the look, even when the goal is the same: a little shade, more character, and a better place to hang out outside.

This Trex deck creates a clean, low-maintenance space for long evenings outside, weekend barbecues and everything in between. Rocky Harbor decking, wide stairs and glass privacy panels give the backyard a polished finish while still keeping it bright and open.

Built with care. Made to be used.
