If you're wondering when to water your garden or lawn, here's why morning is usually better than night:

Morning Watering:

Prepares plants for the heat: Moisture is available during the hottest part of the day.

Prevents disease: Leaves have time to dry, reducing the risk of fungus and mildew.

Better absorption: Cooler soil helps water soak in before it evaporates.

Night Watering:

Higher risk of disease: Water sitting overnight on leaves and soil encourages rot and fungus.

Cooler temps help retention, but at a cost—plants may not use water efficiently without sunlight.

Verdict: Water in the early morning (5–9 a.m.) whenever possible. If evening is your only option, water the soil directly and avoid the leaves to reduce risks.
