$20β$30 an hour is not enough for the amount of work cleaners do π―
Not when the job is destroying backs, knees, wrists, and energy levels every single day. π¬
People call cleaning βeasyβ because they only see the final result.
They donβt see the physical labor behind it.
The bending. π«§
The scrubbing.π§Ό
The lifting. πββοΈ
The hours on our feet π¦Ά
The rushing from house to house trying to fit everyone in π₯΅
A cleaner is not just βwiping things down.β π
We are restoring homes, resetting spaces, and doing the kind of work most people donβt even want to do in their own house. π€¨
And somehow society normalized expecting all of that for rates that barely reflect the labor involved.
Wanting better pay does not make cleaners greedy. π
It means weβre finally recognizing the value of the work we do. π§Όβ¨
