For Sale: Similarly sized Haworthia in a larger pot. Will not need to be repotted for several years. Haworthia are extremely low maintenance. I once kept one in the cupboard for a few months by accident (not this one obviously).

For sale :) Bring this little friend home for ten bucks. Delivery in Caronport or Moose Jaw.

$10 — this wee gaffer is feeling fit and ready to find his forever home. He’s about as low maintenance as they come and just wants to be left alone in the sun. No hugs please.

In winter months most cactus go dormant and don’t need any water until spring. In fact, the most common cause of death among cactus is overwatering.

$8 — This little lady is looking for a good home. All she asks for is sunlight, adoration, and occasionally a bit of water. Pot is approximately 3” wide.

Succulents are part of the cactus family, so they don’t need to be watered too often, especially in the winter when they are mostly dormant.

Most succulents will survive in lower light, but they won’t thrive and are likely to become “leggy” (stretched out). Their natural habitat is the desert, so they like the full sun.

: Jade are difficult to kill, but I managed to accidentally dump this guy into the washing machine with my dirty laundry. I must say the washer worked well. Not a trace of dirt left. I think he’ll bounce back.

The lovely Echeveria "Lola" is usually a soft green but can take on a purple tinge in the right lighting conditions.

Brightly coloured succulents are often actually "stressed," making them more difficult to keep healthy in that state. If you do want to stress your succulents though, don't feel bad. It's not an emotional state, but just their reaction to threats. Some varieties, for example, turn colour when exposed to too much sunlight. Their new colour can withstand more rays, almost like plant sunscreen. If stressed properly just before winter, some succulents will keep the colour throughout their dormancy period.

An instructive video from the lovely, experienced, and encouraging Laura at Garden Answer. She has videos on all types of gardening and I highly recommend them.

The only thing to add is that if you bought your succulent from Happy Plants it has already been repotted or potted appropriately, so you can skip that step for a while.
