Curtis (Waterdon Construction), Charles (Rona Carleton Place- Making the DIY Dream Come True ), Erin (Rona), Robin (UNPOSED), and Scott (Rona) donated their time, their muscles, and a heap of holiday cheer sorting food donations and stocking the shelves for the next shift.

Robin also captured the action for posterity (look at those cameras 😱)

A lil subtrade appreciation post!

With level 3 abatement taking place on a new job, has taken every precaution necessary to protect the existing spaces, as well as sealing everything so that our client doesn’t have to worry about any possible contamination risks. We’re very impressed by their work!

Waterdon gets to work with many amazing subtrades across the Ottawa & surrounding areas and we always try to take the time to appreciate great work! 👏🏻

Our sister company, Merlin Door Systems, is currently matching donations made to the Ottawa Hospital for critical cancer equipment! Waterdon and Merlin Doors had the pleasure of speaking with Robert, pictured above, a few months ago on what the Apheresis Machine had done for him. The Apheresis machine was purchased through donations made by Merlin. The Ottawa Hospital is looking to expand its equipment so they can continue to help many others like Robert.

This past week Waterdon participated in the Stantec’s 2025 Hockey Tournament! We’re grateful for everyone who came out to play, from partners in the construction industry to client, it was great to play alongside everyone and always so much fun!

A recap of Waterdon’s 2024! Just a few pictures to look back on such a great year! In January, Neal, Simon and Victor attended World of Concrete in Las Vegas which lead to our first ever purchase of forming panels. With this, it has cut our concrete crews forming time in half! Watedon had the pleasure of constructing a new Grotto for St Patrick’s Church - which provided our concrete team as well as the office a new challenge of forming an pouring such a unique shape. We are also in the middle of constructing a new 9,000sqft Optometry Office, so keep your eyes out for more photos!
Waterdon also completed St Joseph’s Coptic Church alongside Tofcon Construction, and the new Emergency Wing for the Carleton Place Memorial Hospital alongside Chandos Construction by our Interior Systems Team!

This is just a glance at what we were up to for 2024, it’s hard to sum up all the incredible work our field and office team did in one post! We’re excited to be back and see what 2025 has in store! 🛠️ 🎉

19 years ago, when Russell Grass and his wife Linda, with Waterdon Construction., began supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities Ottawa, it started with the story of a family who could not easily get through the front door.

“I am one of the owners of Merlin Door Systems, and when my team was at RMH doing some work, one of the guys on our team noticed there weren’t any automatic door systems to help families who required extra help getting in and out of the building,” shares Russell. On the day he’s referring to, a family was bringing their child back from the hospital on a stretcher.

“In that moment, I decided we were going to gift an automatic front door opening system to the House. From that day forward, we haven’t missed a year of giving at least $10,000 to support whatever RMH needs”.

Our friend and colleague Marc Paquette has been diagnosed with cancer. His story can be found in at the link in the below comments! Please take a moment to read 🙏🏻

He’s fighting hard but needs our support! There has been a GoFundMe set up to help him and his family during this time. Any donation, big or small, makes a huge difference!

Waterdon’s own Zach Tremblay plays in the OCSL Men’s Premier Division for the Gloucester Celtic. This year they won the Ontario Cup giving them a berth next week to compete at the Toyota National Championship in Vancouver. This is the top level for amateur soccer in Canada. Congratulations Zach and good luck!!! 🤞🏻⚽️
