A huge thank you to Valet Restorations Ltd. for coming in last Friday with an amazing crew to help us clean up after a small fire behind our building. While there was some smoke damage inside, mainly to the back door in the visitor centre (north wing), their quick and professional response made all the difference.

We will be reopening and resuming operations on Thursday, February 5, 2026.

Thank you again to Tony and his incredible team for all your hard work and support, as well as the Castlegar Fire Department, we truly appreciate you! 🙏🔥✨

We currently have immediate openings for a Skilled Labourer to join our family-oriented team.

Responsibilities:
• Positive and professional attitude
• Self-started with the ability to work both independently and as a team player
• Have a meticulous attitude towards job completion
• Safety conscious and able to wear the provided safety equipment
• Experience in finish and general carpentry
• Ability to work with all construction-related hand power tools
• Experience in renovations with the ability to think outside the box and make repairs to homes with like kind & quality in mind
• Ability to take direction and apply competency to tasks given
• The ability to work unsupervised and complete tasks in a timely manner
• Versatile in knowing that you will be required, to assist in other areas of the restoration company such as demolition, abatement, contents, and emergency remediation due to floor, fire etc.
• Be available for new floods/fires, after work hours, when On-Call. On-Call rotation averages 1 week in every 4 weeks.

Qualifications:
• Valid drivers license and a clear Drivers Abstract with a clean Criminal Record Check
• Superior customer service skills and professionalism with clients
• Able to work as a team
• Able to communicate effectively
• Able to work alone or with minimal supervision
• Experience necessary
• References are required

We are selling a total of 17 engineered trusses if anyone is interested!😀 Below are the details!

- 17 Engineered trusses with vaulted section.

- Overall span of 28 feet with a 4 foot overhang to one side, and a 2 foot overhang to the opposite side.

- Trusses are a 5/12 pitch that is rated for Fruitvale snow load.

We paid $8,445.27 (Incl. Taxes), and are asking $6,000 OBO. This does not include delivery.

The trusses are located at our warehouse at 1840 Co-op Lane, Castlegar.

We currently have immediate opening for Contents Cleaner to join our family oriented team. Previous experience in the industry would be an asset, but we are willing to train the right person.

Reporting to the Contents Manager, the successful candidate will be a hands-on team player with preferred previous experience working in a Contents division within the industry.

Responsibilities:

Inventory and pack contents of homes and businesses

Labelling (tag furniture, appliances, storage bins, dry cleaning, laundry)

Clean contents both in the warehouse and on sites

Clean structures (walls, ceilings, floors)

Manipulate contents (pack boxes and move them to another room)

Construction clean-up of contaminated areas of the home or business

Launder clothing, bedding etc.

Keep detailed logs of supplies, laundry, boxed contents etc.

Ability to work within a team

Ability to follow specific instruction and direction

Excellent time management abilities

Attention to detail

Be available for new floods/fires, after work hours, when On-call. On-Call rotation averages 1 week in every 4 weeks.
