Another egress basement window installed.
If you are basement bedroom, it’s must have an egress window for fire escape.
The size of the opening must meet building code.

This is an example of a poor quality built house,it’s only 1 year old. U can see light from the outside.
Even the smallest holes/gaps at your garage door will create many problems with 🐜 🐞 🐛 bugs and 🐁 mice. Also you will loose a lot of heat if you heat your garage.

If u see light around your garage door,
The weather strips should be replace until there is no light.

When we install electrical meters, we use PVC boards behind the meters so it’s easier to replace siding in the future. It doesn’t rot compare to pressure treated lumber also.
Small details like this=a well built home.

When installing outside unit heat pump, we don’t use brackets to hang on the walls because over the years, the machine will cause vibration and will transfer noise into the house. Also by not anchoring anything to the walls, less chance of water 💦 pe*******on which causes wood rot and mold.

When it comes to new builds, we do underground electrical service from power to your house. We do this because it’s clear away from trees and any other obstructions, also it makes the house looks better by not having wires and metal mast pipe sticking out of the roof- by not having mast sticking out of the your roof, this will prevent wind and water damage. Prevention building methods is important to having a worry free and quality home.

We go above the minimum building codes when framing to ensure the highest quality:

In this picture:
we triple up the jack studs to support the garage LVL beam, the minimum code is 2 jack studs.

we install Tyvek membrane all around the exterior of the house before we install the foam sheathings. The Tyvek will give the house another layer of protection again water damage in the future. Most builders just put the foam sheating on top of the OSB board.
