Another proud moment for Red Isle Arbortech!

Thanks to a large scale project we took on in October, we were able to accommodate a used tractor into our fleet.

Say hello to our Farmall 300! He might be old, but he is still working like a horse and loving it. We can't wait to work on and upgrade the platform to expand our services even further!

Because you have to name your equipment to give it a soul (a trade/mechanics tradition for good luck and reliability), we've decided to stay on theme with our current fleet tradition, and name him Cerberus.

Its been a long time coming for us to bring more equipment to our services, and can't wait to see what we can accomplish while sparing our backs for change!

Happy Saturday everybody! 🥳

Now that we've somewhat settled in, we are proud to announce that we have moved locations!

While we will still consider Charlottetown our main service area, we are now located in the beautiful community of Fort Augustus, PE.

This is a huge step for us in gaining safer and more space to work with to operate the business from, and can't wait to see how the space develops as we work on a small shop set up and leisure space.

We will now be able to more conveniently serve both our Queens and Kings County clientele more effectively overall with the convenience of being closer to resources.

Another job in the books with Donovan from a few months back!

Chris knows his limits, and will often work with experienced climber and arborist Donovan Neelin for riskier work.

Having two experienced minds and hands on these projects helps guarantee the quality and efficiency of our work, making sure we get the job done, and making it look easy while we're doing it 💪

We tackled this large willow stump from a removal we did earlier in the season. The stump was done in September, that's how behind we are on posting! 🥴

This was a super fun day of work for two of our wonderful clients. Anyone who has run a stump grinder knows just how smooth willow will grind!

It's been awhile, but promise we've been quiet for all the right reasons!

We are proud to announce the wedding and marriage of Chris and Mikayla this past weekend, October 18th! 🎊🥂

We thank our clients for your patience, particularly in the last month as we've focused on making this tremendous accomplishment happen, and can't wait to catch up with every one of you!

We have so many people left to thank, but wanted to take a moment to shout out our vendors. Thank you Sizzler BBQ Catering since 1980 for the incredible food and service, your team was amazing to work with, and easily made one of the tastiest wedding meals we've ever had.

To our good friends and dear client Mossbank Flower Farm, thank you for your incredible work providing our flowers, and for making the exception to take on a larger event. We couldn't be more grateful to have had you part of our day.

Thank you 's rentals for providing the arch, backdrop, extra benches, audio book, and anything else we didnt want to have to buy and worry about keeping.

Thank you Long & McQuade Musical Instruments in Charlottetown for the PA and light rentals, the service and quality of equipment is always top notch!

Thank you to Kirsten Stewart of Kirsten Maria Photography for being our photographer for the day. We can't wait to see all the amazing moments we know you captured, and appreciate you making the day that much more special for us.

Lastly, a huge thank you to Orwell Historic Village for allowing us to host our big day at such a beautiful location! The day and place could not have been more perfect for us!

We've made many other large accomplishments in the last few months including a new home base in Fort Augustus, purchasing a tractor, and working hard on multiple interesting projects we can't wait to share with you.

Big trees (for the east coast!) and bore cuts! 😎 We had some fun during this bufferzone project!

When a tree is too big for a for our 20" bar, and in many other circumstances, the bore cut is one of our favorites!

While this tree's bore cuts could have been lined up slightly better, we will use this technique to set and pre load our hinge, leaving a "strap" of holding wood in the back that will hold the tree until we are confident and ready to drop it, reducing the potential for saw pinch, and allowing us to exit the hazard zone more efficiently.

Bore cuts are known as a slightly more advanced technique in chainsaw use due to their liklihood for kickback using the tip of your chainsaw's bar, so please keep in mind, we only recommend this technique for the professionals!

Blink and you'll miss us!

We had this spruce tree cut and loaded in no time at all. 🕐

This client had a flower bed going in behind the tree, and while initially interested in having the stump ground too, found a comfortable seat to admire the bed from, and decided to keep it left high. Given this was during the heat wave in August, we had zero complaints with that! 🥵😄

We were surprised to be contacted for tilling this late in the season, but more than happy to tackle the job! 💪

This client just took over this property, and having a background in farming, wanted to get a head start on next year's planting to encourage root establishment 🌱

Just because the seasons yield might be past doesn't mean there isn't work that could be done. Early root establishment will ensure that next season's crop is ready for yield with less stress to the plants, and will give you a head start on structural rooting and necessary nutrient or environmental factor adjustments.

The early bird gets the worm, or the better yielding crop in this case!

We love hedges! 😍

This was our second year taking care of this hedge in a cottage community, and while we're still working towards some corrections in overly dense spots, we're happy with the final result!

It's been a rough season for spruce trees 🥴

If you happen to notice multiple of your spruce trees dying rapidly, there's a good chance it has spruce bark beetle.

While populations have surged since Hurricane Fiona, the continued heat and lack of rain this season has created ideal conditions for the beetles to take advantage of stressed trees.

Unfortunately, the best method of dealing with spruce bark beetle is removing the tree, and burning the debris. We hate to see these trees go, but mother nature does what she wants.
