Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber (3rd Year Apprentice to Journeyman) to join our construction and renovation team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in plumbing systems, mechanical knowledge, and experience working with various tools and schematics.
This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential settings. The successful candidate will work closely with other trades to ensure projects meet safety standards, timelines, and quality expectations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate installations and repairs
Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and efficiently
Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment as required during installation or repairs
Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate work schedules and project timelines
Ensure all work complies with local plumbing codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
Troubleshoot plumbing system issues during maintenance and repair work
Assist with the assembly and installation of plumbing components and related structures
Qualifications 3rd, 4th Year Plumbing Apprentice or Journeyman certification preferred
Proven experience in plumbing, construction, or maintenance roles
Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in plumbing and hydronic heating systems
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
Solid understanding of plumbing codes and safety standards
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks regularly
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Valid driver’s license preferred for travel between job sites
Experience with schematic reading and system assembly is considered an asset
