It matters more than most quotes admit. Eagle Mountain and Sumas Mountain lots need grading that works with the slope. Sumas Prairie and Matsqui yards hold water longer after a wet winter.

Myth: a few loads of fresh topsoil will fix a soggy Surrey yard.
On clay, new topsoil just sits on top and the water still has nowhere to go. Correct the grade and drainage first, then plant things that like damp ground, such as ferns and hostas.

Today we celebrate 20 years of Higher Ground!🌿

What started as a few side jobs after Horticulture School has grown from one helper on weekends and summers to a crew of six in our busiest months. From smaller projects to landscapes that take months to bring to life, it’s been a pretty incredible journey.

It started with one Red Seal Certification. Today, we’re an ITA Registered Employer helping train the next generation of Red Seal apprentices.

At the heart of it all, we’re still creating outdoor spaces that invite people to connect, slow down, and enjoy the beauty of creation.

Thank you to our clients, our team, and our community for being part of the last 20 years. Here’s to what’s ahead. 🤍
