Narrow lot? No problem. This recent design proves that a tight footprint is no barrier to bold, contemporary Home Design
Designed specifically for a narrow urban lot, this three-storey home makes every square foot count — stacking living space vertically while delivering a façade that commands attention on the streetscape. The design balances a rich material mix of warm cedar wood accents, crisp white lap siding, dark charcoal cladding, and a dramatic full-height curtain wall of black-framed glazing that draws light deep into the home across all three levels.
The ground floor integrates a single-car garage with a warm wood panel door alongside a welcoming recessed entry framed in cedar — practical without compromising on kerb appeal. Vertical wood screening elements add rhythm and texture to the façade, while the broad overhanging roofline gives the home a grounded, sheltered quality that ties the composition together beautifully.
Set against a backdrop of snow-capped mountains and mature greenery, this home demonstrates what’s possible when thoughtful design meets a challenging site constraint — turning limitations into opportunities.
This is the kind of project that reminds us why we love what we do. 🙌
