Brazing is where a refrigeration system is won or lost. The copper has to reach temperature, the filler has to flow in on its own, and the joint has to be clean when it cools. Get it wrong and nothing happens — not today, anyway. It shows up months later as a slow refrigerant leak, and that leak is the number one reason compressors burn out.

That’s why we don’t rush this part. A few extra minutes at the torch is the difference between a system that runs for five years and one that runs for fifteen.
