Industry Advocacy in Action
We're pleased to share that Brittany Manulak, Principal of Concept Mechanical Group Ltd. and MCABC Board Member, has been actively involved in discussions surrounding the proposed Construction Prompt Payment Act (CPPA) regulations.
At MCABC's Day on the Legislature, Brittany joined fellow Board Directors and staff in meeting with the Honourable Bowinn Ma, Minister of Infrastructure, and ministry representatives to reinforce the importance of prompt payment legislation and its impact on contractors throughout British Columbia.
Prompt payment legislation is an important step toward ensuring fair, timely payment practices within the construction industry, helping contractors, suppliers, and trades maintain healthy cash flow and continue delivering quality work across the province.
The recent release of the Construction Prompt Payment Act Discussion Paper marks the beginning of the consultation process that will help shape the regulations moving forward. MCABC will continue collaborating with industry partners and government representatives to ensure the final regulations are practical, enforceable, and reflect the realities faced by contractors and tradespeople.
We are proud to see Brittany representing both our company and the mechanical contracting industry in these important conversations.
